I have a hard time believing Blizzard will let Diablo be sold digitally outside of Battle.net.

Blizzard only selling Diablo II + it's expansion as digital download

I asked them a week ago about possible re-release of their older games, but I still haven't received any response. :(
Has someone tried to contact Capcom? I want DMC3 and the RE-games here.
Of course, we will be needing the Hellfire expansion for Diablo, I think Sierra was the publisher ??
Edit: Found a shortcut for Hellfire, it fired right up . . . haven't played that one in years . . . =)

Jordon3211: these are just a few of the games we have at my company that could potentialy make it onto GOG.com if we can get a deal going, anyone care to see some of these up?
• Wolfenstein 3D
• Age of Empires 2 Gold
• Age of Mythology
• Alien Vs. Predator Gold
• No One Lives Forever
• Grand Theft Auto 2
• Resident Evil 3
• Diablo
• Soldier of Fortune Gold
Firstly, AFAIK Wolfenstein 3D's been reverted back to ID, who's selling it themselves, GTA2 has been declared freeware, Diablo is Blizzard, and it would be the first time Blizzard has provided a digital download anywhere outside of Blizzard's own website. There's loads of Aliens Vs Predator games, of which one has already made it to Steam. Plus, I would be surprised if it transpired that Microsoft has let go of the Age of Empires franchise.

Gexecuter: Unless your company is called Take two/Capcom/Activision/Microsoft/ETC you don't have any rights to those titles period, just because the company you bought may have published those games in the past doesn't mean that you now own things like their IP or digital distribution rights.

Just make sure you guys are understanding my clearly, this is not an announcement, it has not been sat down with and talked about, this is an idea by me, the games listed may or may not be able to be done we would have to talk with blizzard, capcom, ect. as well. those were only some examples of what we have. things like diablo would be much harder to do obviously. right now it could be considered and i hope it is, but nothing has been done so contacting activision and others will give you no answers bc we are no where near that point of talking with others and there would still be MANY things that would need to be done before hand.
I'd definitely buy some of those.

Ralackk: Looking through the wiki and moby games lists for empire interactive I see nothing mentioned about any of those games you listed.
Now assuming this is real and you can actually aquire world wide publishing rights for those games I'm sure most of them would sell fairly well.

I'm not sure. Empire Interactive did re-release NOONE LIVES FOREVER: GAME OF THE YEAR EDITION as part of their XPLOSIV range a few years back. Not sure if that gives them the rights of the game though.

Empire went bye-bye. :(
New World IP or Zoo Games hold the rights now.

Yeah I know. Does that mean they have the rights to it though? I thought they were just the distributer of the software as FOX was still listed as the rights holder on the box.
I'd probably buy all of them, except for SOF2 and AoM because I already have them.

Alas, no good deed goes unpunished . . . =(

The wishlist might serve you as a way to know how many people have voted for games they want. Even though I don't think you have full IP ownership over some of the games you listed, you said those on the list were examples and there are many more you guys got your hands on. Give them all a look on the wishlist and have a talk with the GOG staff (the forums are mostly for their community) and maybe you guys can work something up.
There's plenty of people and a viable market who like their old games, be it for nostalgia or because they simply had better gameplay, so licensing old IP's and having them sold here, fixed to be played on newer systems is far better than leaving them collecting dust.
Also some of these games run pretty well on netbooks and laptops since they're not too demanding, so that's another market that buys their games on GOG.
