Such a great game. Here are some pics from my vacation there:

First is of some snobby enemy sniper who tried to kill me earlier. I took care of him good.....and he gave me some ammo. :)

It wouldn't fit in my pistol though no matter how hard I tried jamming it in there. :(

What I wanna know is if this wheel actually does anything? 0.o I keep turning it and nothing happens. Maybe this kind lady is Vanna White's great great grand niece or something & the wheel is a souvenir?

I've been trying to get rid of the copy I bought in 2000 or so. Can't understand French (damned frogs, can't be arsed to learn English).

I'll be getting it on GOG, but not yet, need to keep a check on my economy for a while (no, not waiting for a sale, that would almost be a crime).

OMG is the text bock at the top of your HUD unreadable for you or do you have a 50" monitor?

Cool....cool. BTW have you ever played it or even the demo? Just curious. Also if you haven't played it what do you think of it from the basic plot/gameplay info you do know?Had to save as jpg as bmp are too big to post here....that and the small gui(due to using a gui fix to make the gui elements less huge & blocky) make it hard to read what's up there....but I can just fine. :)

Now i've played this before, btw, but this time i'm gonna make sure I find every little nook and cranny. Starting with kicking Johnny5's robotic ass.

Piloting the harbor around would have been completely boss.

Ahh, that robot... I remember him well. Stupid tonka toy really got in the way if you didn't spend the lockpicks to get those EMP grenades...or ask for the GEP gun, but lolGEPgun.

I didn't invest in lockpicks this time through(Picked electronics and heavy computer skill, along with some melee for prod/baton usage.), so i'd need to go find a grenade to bust that chest open. I found an emp grenade though so it's all good.

Now to hack the gibson.....*cracks fingers*

(And yeah who'd want to carry that thing around[especially with low heavy weapons skill making you move like a snail whenever you equipped it?] all day long? For stealth playthroughs it wouldn't be too subtle, at any rate.)

Rager, is that the Vanilla version or are you running a Res Mod? i don't remember the game looking that......crisp? lol i might be mistaken, i'll have to bust out my copy now

I think if I remember right it always looked that good on higher resolutions. Although the game didn't always make the best use of the Unreal engine, it did Could be remembering wrong, though.

Man... as soon as I have some extra money, I think I'll be re-purchasing Deus Ex from GOG. I have a CD copy and a Steam copy, but I'd much prefer to play it the GOG way... no connection check, and no having to switch CDs out (Morrowind has occupied my disk drive for the foreseeable future). Plus...EXTRAS!!!

Also, I'm getting the weird urge to play some more Unreal. Guess it's because DE runs on the Unreal engine.
Heh, I just remembered one of my favorite Deus Ex memories. My friend was playing the game, and he decided to smoke EVERY SINGLE FREAKING CIGARETTE IN HIS INVENTORY at once. As soon as he closed the screen, JC flopped over dead with his entire torso in the health display gone. It was especially amusing because he did it right in the middle of that bar in Hell's Kitchen, so you could imagine everyone around him being like O_o

I am using the new visions texture high res pack and HDTP high res item/character pack....as well as the DX10 render and Deus EXE listed in the mods thread of the DX sub-forums.
