I'm a US resident for almost 7 years now, and I'm still looking for a good pizza. I've had plenty of decent pizzas, but nothing that tastes like what I had in Europe.

Seriously guys, put some flavor to your fucking cheese.
So, the OP was unaware that PORN exists in his country?

I guess watching Tinto Brass movies is out of the question too then.

Nothing can top french, swiss or dutch cheeses (and italian mozarella of course), nothing... I tried to taste some other ones, but all of them are pretty tasteless.

There is a different type of pizza in Poland, looks more like a bun, it's really hard to get anywhere else:

but most pizzerias sell italian-style pizza. I tried once an italian pizza in Naples and well.. It's the other league. It's like comparing premiere league to juniors. Nobody in Poland makes pizzas as great as italians in Naples.

orcishgamer: I won't lie, I don't care where it came from, America perfected the pizza.
By turning the thing and graceful Italian Pizza with an amount of toppings just right to accentuate the flavour of the bread and chesse, into a riduculously bloated frankensteinian cross with a chesseburger with everything but the kitchen sink thrown onto it?

My dear sir. BLEH! I say.

BLEH!

I actually kinda like eating american style pizza once in a while. But really saying that in front of italians has put you on the list of at least a dozen hit men just now.

What I always find amusing and quite bewildering is that a lot of Americans think pizza is an American invention. Idiots.

On another note, there are these atrocities Japanese like to call pizza. Ugh. *shudders*

No matter what you people say: pizza from Napoli will always be the best pizza.

I've never met someone who thinks Pizza is American, maybe I don't know enough stupid people.

Heh, when I went to China I had pizza once, when they ask you to specify whether or not you want cheese on your pizza, it's probably a bad sign. x]
If we're talking about regional quisine, anyone fancy for Polish kabanos? :D

I have no idea what's in that but I'd still give it a shot!
It's a dry pork sausage, pepper-ish in flavour , very good appetizer and amazing snack for beer ;-)

Do they make them really spicy? Because that could be my new favorite food;)
You may buy kabanosy pepperoni which are much more spicy, but original, traditional recipe is only slightly pepper-ish to leave the dry meat flavour the first thing you taste. :)

Hmm, we have a lot Polish folks around here, I should be able to find someplace serving these. Thanks!
Not a problem, it's one of my favourite beer snacks ever. But take notice how it looks like. Real kabanos should be made from pork and be cheery-ish in colour.

Some shops offer poultry knockoffs (usually from chicken or turkey) that taste differently and definetely not that good as original ones. :) Knockoffs are usually lighter in colour
