don't go out there, the real world sucks. That's why they invented the internet

timppu: I never understood why people advertise they are going to leave a forum... but maybe it is a cry for help, like the people who say out loud they are going to commit a suicide? Those warning signs should always be taken seriously by others. So:

Ne_zavarj, don't do it! Don't leave the forum just like that! Think of your children! We do care.
haha
Oh my, what a pity.

Okay. See you...
happy new year and come back when you feel the burned are healed

CaptainGyro: haha
You wouldn't laugh if someone close to you had left a forum!

langurmonkey: I'm sure you will be back.
There's several that have bailed and if they've come back only lurk (or rarely post).

I would say, for the OP, yeah, just do other stuff for a week. Not games, get out and see some people, take a line dancing class, whatever.

I thought he was socially burned out? In his case I think less forum, more games would help. In fact, I think that will help everyone! :P
I would say just take some time away from the forum and not spend as much time here rather than cut it out entirely.

Either way, take care and good luck with whatever decision you make.

Socially burned out people usually seem to be more burned out on a single type of interaction (e.g. forums), hanging with people in real life is usually the best method to solve this, i.e. it's the same but different. Plus physical activity is likely to release endorphins, thus perking the individual up during the activity.

I'm socially burned out . ...
If that is the case, then it might indeed be best to indulge in other things for a while; there are always so many possibilities and so much to do. Nothing socializing, mind you!

Since you obviously are an active forum member, why not take a temporary break and visit the forum occasionally, when you feel like it; if for nothing else to say "hi" to the people you know?

If you do intend to leave, though, then farewell, Hungarian neighbour, and good luck!

And don't forget - we all have to swallow our share of s*it. It sweetens the good things in life.
I have no idea who you are but godspeed.
I'm making my grand return after months of not even thinking about the forum.
I left because life is full of metaphorical shiny things and I returned to ask a question about something I ended up resolving on my own, now I'm just lurking.
Quick, we must shower him him with gift! lets fulfill all of his wishlist in order to prevent such a integral member of this community from leaving! God forbid there is no way for the community to survive without him!

Act quick! We only have less than a week!

TheJoe: I mean, yesterday - you won't believe this - I played a video game. Woah. On Saturday I even went outside to meet an old friend of mine! Isn't that crazy? You can do this kind of stuff too! You don't have to "leave the community" just to go do other things.

StingingVelvet: Sometimes I do other shit for days! Other than EnigmaticT PMing me begging me to come back no one even notices.
Well, perhaps if you started spamming the forum to get people to buy The Guild or Sacrifice or something else people would pay more attention.

BTW, have you bought Sanitarium yet? :-P

I would also beg you to come back but only because I want to know if you ever did finish Terminator Salvation like you once talked about?
