satoru: Been There Dan That is totally worth $2.47 seriously
I've tried the demo before. Not really my kind of humor.

Fate of the World looks interesting, but I'd rather wait for a sale on Tipping Point, which includes all the rest.

The other two games don't interest me at all.
Screw this. Both indieroyale and desura are down. I'm going to play some Operation Flashpoint on steam now...

xyem: You can argue equally the other way around. The model is wrong for the implementation :)

orcishgamer: As I said before, there's not much excuse for this in the days of EC2 where they could have had 100 new instances up for just a couple bucks and taken them down by the end of the day.
Cloud computing is not nearly as easy as 'flipping a switch' to make stuff like this work. The recent EC2 outage also shows how even in this scenario you can be extremely vulnerable to your provider.

haha, I already got the steam key for Ben There, Dan That! :)
Hope they come to their senses next time around, at least.
The first bundle also had server problems in addition to the Steam key mix-ups and changing DLC promises.
I can't even get onto the front page. Gives me a 504 error.
hahaha the site went down just as my payment went through. I received the confirmation email so I hope everything went fine.
The price was $2.60 at that moment.

send a 3 EUR payment but never got any confirmation either on the site nor via email. and my card doesnt show anything (and most of the time i am charged immediately) so i guess everything is fine.

will buy it later tonight. will pay recommended 5 eur anyway so price is not a concern of mine.
this year i supposed to not buy any games besides TW2...
bought 15 games already (although nine of them were Tomb Raider games)
Just noticed there's a new Xmas bundle in the list of upcoming bundles.
FYI:

"Very sorry about the site, too many HTTP requests. Adding more webservers and once it stabilizes in a few hours - we will reset the price"

Just a lil reminder before some of you rush to turn in Steam keys... Christmas sale is coming up soon. These seem like totally the type you'd find in a 5 for $5 bundle over there, and they won't give you extra giftable copies if you buy one.

Got it, but now Desura is giving a 504 error.

What's better? a $3 bundle from the devs now or a $5 bundle from steam? ;)

But there's not a EC2 or Rackspace outage is there? If they'd set up on EC2 and then it went down, I would not give them shit, I'd give Amazon shit. However they clearly did not set up any kind of real scaling.

And while EC2 and cloud computing may not be "simple" for many people, there's still a shit ton of people who do know what they're doing and could have had it set up for them.

Not knowing this is even possible, yeah, I'll blame anyone hosting a server or web based promotion of this sort for that, if you don't know it's an option by now, you're an idiot.
I'm gonna give away my copy of Ben There Dan That / Time Gentlemen Please. :)
Haha! They seem to have reset the bundle too far. The homepage now says the Launch Bundle is done and the next bundle (Difficult 2nd) starts in 3 hours.
