I found DS1 a bit boring too. But it has a HUGE saving grace: it is basis for two of the best mods ever. Namely the Ultima 5 remake Lazarus, which captures all that 'Ultima' feel, recreates Ultima 5 with better graphics and even adds some details to the story and thus is way better than most commercial CRPGs. The second one is it's sequel (of sorts), the Ultima 6 Project, which does the same to recreate Ultima 6.

So, if you like not only action roleplaying games but also deep, complex roleplaying games, IMO DS1 is worth getting for these mods alone!

StingingVelvet: I thought the first two sucked but the third one was good. I'm not a Diablo fan though, so maybe my opinion is meaningless.
I thought the first 2 sucked and the third was good as well, I am an ARPG fan.
I loved 1 and 2. I recently got 3 for the PS3, and although it's good, it's my least favorite. I think they streamlined it a bit too much. But I'd say the price is worth getting the set.
I don't know what the conversion is, but the pack regularly goes on sale on Steam for ten bucks. I would wait until then myself.

As for the quality, I liked the third one the best, but I really like Obsidian. It's better than reviews give it credit for, which I mention just because it sounds like a lot of people are just basing their opinion on what they heard. There's flaws for sure, but it's pretty fun all around.

I will say the co-op in the third one is a bit ass, making your buddy literally get to keep nothing upon returning to his own game is kind of stupid. I wish they'd patch that (maybe they have and I'm just ignorant of it).

But I did like the 3rd one a lot.

Never played the frst - Enjoyed 2 - Played the Demo of three and enjoyed it but I would play it with a controller. As for that price - wait for a sale. 3 complete over Christmas on GG was like $8.00. So you should be able to do better than $50.
P.S. I like how, last I checked, my only way to get DS1 and DS2 on Steam is this pack, despite owning DS3 already.
Dungeon Siege 1 is a nice game, with "exotic" locations etc I had a lot of fun on it while in junior high many years ago. I never tried the 2nd but it doesn't seem that great, and as for the 3rd...it does not seem to be Dungeon Siege at all according to what I saw online.

So if I am correct, it is sold for around 18€/24$...not worth to me (I am a Diablo II veteran as well and love Arcanum, so I'd suggest that instead you invest your hard-earned money into Fallout 1,2, or Tactics if you do not own them already, or Planescape Torment, Nox (very fun but short to my opinion), or the Gothic series.

People mentioned about the GTA bundle, I honestly never tried GTA IV, but GTA 3, Vice City and San Andreas are worth the price, and WILL give you lots of fun and replayability, I can assure you, as they are "open world" games there are lots to do (steal a car, drive like crazy and fight some gangs/passengers, or simply cruise in the streets etc...Go for this bundle instead of the other one.

I enjoyed DS1 & 2 the thrid i played completed and thought it was so different from the original 2 it should not have had the same name. Dont get me wrong it was fun for the most part but not a patch on the first 2.

keeveek: The game was pretty much autoplaying for me (on normal), they even cast spells automatically.
You just sit there and watch them fighting.
There's a reason DS1/2 acquired the nickname "interactive screensaver", the game isn't hard + the AI does all the actual fighting for you.

Imo the best thing about DS1 is Ultima Lazarus, the complete remake of Ultima 5 using the DS1 engine (which you need DS1 to install). Brilliant game.
