I am Tri - I use Win, Lin & Mac. :)

Win 7 on my desktop, XP on a file server (really just a semi-retired desktop), Ubuntu on my laptop and an Android tablet

Ubuntu user here - going on I think seven years now. I dual-boot Windows for games, of course, but anything that can be done under Linux, gets done under Linux.

They're not rumours anymore, they've been confirmed.

I still use windows XP for games, and Fedora linux for everything else. When I can no longer install and activate XP, I will stop using windows altogether, so really I'm a linux user, not a windows/linux user.

I don't trust phoronix as the evidence they've provided so far is not really evidence, not to mention that they've been "confirming" steam on linux for a couple of years now.

User of an Arch deriviate here. I currently only have an old laptop with a small SSD, so this is my only OS. (Waiting for Desktop Trinity...)



Mac user here... Parallels + Boxer + occasional Boot Camp use is *okay*, but native Mac DMGs of DOSBox, ScummVM and even Wineskinned games (ahem, like the Witcher for Mac on Steam) would be greatly appreciated, even if unsupported.

I posted earlier about my plans to get a Mac and now I have! So count me in among the Mac users. I've setup bootcamp with Windows 7 which works great but I greatly prefer native when possible and may try things to avoid reboots when I can. I'm going to try running a demo of Parallels and see how my older games (2006 and earlier) do with that. It would be sweet if I could confine good old gaming to my Mac OS X desktop.

Quite a few new posters from when the thread started a couple of months ago. I think that brings us to 44 now. I may be off a little.

I also notice the Linux game versions wish list item pop back on the community front page. I thought it might take top spot for all time requested sight feature, but its fallen quite a bit behind. Don't suppose we have another 1100 votes lying around somewhere?

Might as well poke my head in here. Managed to use Ubuntu for two whole days without any major issues. Only rebooted back into Win7 because I like to play forking vidya gaems. Sleep with my computer on (because the fans keep my tinnitus at bay), so can't be assed to reboot back into linux when I'm done playing as there's no real incentive to do so, unless I feel like experimenting with something (usually compatibility related).
