I've never seen that happen with the second game in a series... Later games, sure, fourth, fifth, etc. when a studio starts to feel like they need to "re-invent" the franchise, but never with the first sequel. Worst CRPG I've ever played.

Did anyone actually manage to make MoO3 playable? I know there was heavy modding and fan patching going on to the level of say a Gothic game, but last time I tried one (admittedly years ago), no one had managed to actually make the damn game any fun at all to play.

I can't quite handle the notion that so many of you hate Oblivion... -brain pops-

I looked at pictures too, promise! I just didn't comment because I thought "A few people will say it's awesome and that'll be it." But they didn't! They're complaining about Oblivion! Again! Can I start another Fallout 3 discussion? Can I?

Oblivion is better than F3! Also Daikatana is good (when you skip first chapter).

Or well i will put it this way for Oblivion.
If you are an unexperienced player or a bad player oblivion can be good.
If you are like me and you have played many RPG's since mid 90's oblivion can't be good.

I finished Oblivion when it was out but it definitely did not give me that tingling sensation Morrowind does every time I go through it.
Will wait for Skyrim to come out and give it a shot but don't have my hopes up. I guess it is good as if Skyrim is decent there is no room for disappointment for me...
Need to read up on Magicka now.

Just played Oblivion for an hour and it just feels...... bland and lifeless to me. Sure, the graphics look awesome but that doesn't matter to me. It lacks something for me.
Whereas Morrowind is more engaging and fun game for me. I can easily sink my teeth into that game. I can literally do whatever I really want in it and make up my own stories and focus on having good times.
I'm not sure about Skyrim but I will wait to see if it's any good or not.
*goes back to play Morrowind*

If you're a cool fella you accept that others have different taste and preferences.
If you're an arrogant prick who thinks only his opinion is the "right" one, you'll keep bashing games you didn't like even 5 years later and no other argument can or will stop you.

I have a confession. I think half the reason I bought Oblivion was the cat people and dinosaurs.
