What is this Genesis? It's Megadrive :) ^^ Mortal Kombat 2 was pretty fun on both Snes and Megadrive

Bullshit! Everybody and their grandmas know that Mortal Kombat MUST be played in its original, arcade-based iteration. Any conversion for home systems of the era is just shitty....

deelee74: You really didn't like MKIII?
I always thought it was the best game in the series. I loved the combo system introduced in MKIII.
It was a terrible game. Adding the extra axises just didn't add anything to the experience and made the game a lot less interesting. They could have achieved the same thing by fixing some of the over powered characters.
I had more fun playing Tekken 3 on arcade than with any MK game on consoles.

Except that the Snes version was missing the blood and the violent finishing moves. But they aren't important for a Mortal Kombat game ....

Phantasy Star 3, Arcus Odyssey, Wonderboy 5 and Landstalker are the best games ever.

PERIOD.

I was never a huge fan of the MK games, but I remember when MK3 came out in the Arcades. The run button and the combos really gave me a sense that I was kicking a lot of ass.
Also, since the arcade version of MK3 came out before the PS1, it was one of the very last games of the arcade era where you had to leave your house to experience a game at its best. I miss those days. I just have better memories of MK3 than I do the other games in the series.
