Virama: Holy. Shit.

That's some epic time clocked. I've been tempted to try Guild Wars for SOOOO long - best thing is no monthly fees! But... is the gameplay GOOD?
avatar
alexei_net: Yeah, I like it (obviously :D).
Doesn't answer the question though... Is the gameplay GOOD? Like, a game can be enjoyable but difficult to play (and thus, extremely niche) or easy to play but hard to master, or ... or... etc etc...

How similar to WoW is it?

Hmm, I dunno, depends on what your aim in game is. You can play PvE (like, missions, quests), you can grind PvE (like, dungeons, hardmode, titles, farming of rare items/money) and it can be hard, then there is PvP, which can be easy if u play it casually or it can be very hard if you play top competitive GvG (with a lot of theorycrafting, tactics, builds development and so on). And of course there is always game-breaking stuff, which can make you win easily at both PvE and PvP before it's fixed.
And I'm probably talking out of my ass about PvP since I haven't played for 2 years and even when I played, I wasn't very good at it.

About WoW: PvP part is not WoW at all, PvE part have some similarities, but still very different too.

Nice nice. Might just have to give it a try.
For me it was the original Everquest. Many hours waiting to get on boats between Freeport and Butcher Block. The Original zones took forever to travel which was scary for low level characters.
If were talking MMO thats Everquest, spent over 2 years ingame

If its SIngleplayer, thats X3 that game is massive and there is so much you can do, as a reminder the X Superbox is coming!
I spent a completely stupid amount of time in Everquest too. I'm pretty compulsive, but never again.

On the upside, spending all that time in Everquest made it easy to put aside WOW after six months and never look back. Been there, it's DONE.

alexei_net: Sacred, Vice City, Morrowind, Soldat.
If we're talking MMO's - Guild Wars (see screenshot).
Whoa, that's insane. I've played GW for around 903 between all characters (in 43 months) and thought that was a lot. 5000+ hours in a single game? That's... I'm speechless.

Yeah after my time in EQ I'm burnt out on other MMO's i tried DAoC. WOW at launch..the only 2 MMO's that got me and i loved were canceled AC2 and Earth & Beyond... God i loved E&B

If they used the EQ2 engine and remade EQ1 holy s**t man it would be ON, life goes on pause!

Id say Fallout 3 is a pretty time consuming Game
