xa_chan: I disagree. An ignore list will just bring confusion to the threads by making posts following the ignored posts sometimes not understandable. And what's the use of the ignore list if somebody cite the ignored post, since the ignored text will appear?

bansama: The ignore function on the Steam forums works perfectly fine. I see no reason why a similar one cannot work here.

In case you've never seen the Steam forum ignore function, it basically auto hides posts by ignored users but always gives you the option to view them. Thus, you can always opt to see any post in the event of possible confusion.

Besides, if you're ignoring someone, chances are you're not going to interested in what they have to say anyhow, thus no confusion.
Oh, I know perfectly how it works, I've been members of several forums that used the same function. I still find it counter-intuitive. What's the use of an ignore function if you can see choose to read what was written in the ignored post? Isn't it faster just to skip the post on a normal thread, based on the nickname and the avatar? That's already what I do here on GOG and I'm perfectly fine with it.

Tulivu: EDIT: Crap, I'm on the GOG shitlist. Not funny, guys.
I would post the link to the shitlist but it is conveniently down for maintenance.
There's really such a shitlist?
Ignore list and fixing their spam block so that if someone has purchased a game, they dont get autobanned because two people dont like what they say.

Some don't know how to just ignore people though, and this way they could avoid repping down posts they dislike and causing friction by just avoiding that person altogether.

No, it's a joke about a thread I made once......listing those I disliked and why. People didn't like it obviously.

Ah, yes should have known :P

I have to say all those neat features that 'should be implemented' only distract from the real problems you decide to avoid or circumvent alltogether.
Many are lacking a certain discipline when browsing a forum and are too easely drawn into a big trolling game they can't seem to get out anymore.
You folks do realize that while the wording of the title may imply general forum improvements, the topic is actually about improvements to the Wishlist?...

And to join the off-topic: Yes, give ignore list please. Or proper moderation where trolling, baiting and flaming are punished. I don't care which, but one of these two needs to be implemented. And the moderation doesn't even need to cost GOG anything. I mean there are a few forums where moderation rights were given to older forum members who showed a history of integrity and balance during their time on those particular forums.
What this forum needs is more compassion; bona fide warm & gooey compassion. Maybe even a bit of love.

You can never have enough, really...
