I almost accidentally found out about the Most Wanted votes here on GOG.COM

It is located at http://www.gog.com/en/wanted

However, it has many problems making it unlikely that GOG actually even uses the list, let alone is guided by it. For one thing, there is no real way of seeing anything but the top Ten List unless you are searching for a specific game and if you do, you will find multiple entries with slightly variant spellings. Obviously this creates a problem.

The list should be sortable and more convenient. There are many great old games I think they could get pretty easily, but seem to be concentrating on some of the big newer "old" games. That is fine, but how hard would it be to get, for example, the LOST VIKING games? What about BLACK DAHLIA? The list is nearly endless. Surely those companies would love to make a few bucks on long extinct games.

Please add suggestions on how to improve the forum and maybe get GOG's attention. They are wasting opportunities here, I think.
GOG ditched the suggestions thread ages ago, so I don't think they're interested any more.

As for the wanted list, don't you think there's a connection between its current uselessness and unavailability? They're well aware of the problems with it.

Doesn't seem to stop people from linking new users to it, though. -_-;

That's perfectly legitimate though. It serves as the perfect "I want this game" dumping ground. Vote registered. Move along please.

That doesn't change the fact that it's barely functional in any other sense.
One has to admit that users "mess" with the list by adding games released during the week. Let's check on the list : how come COD Black OPS is and old (and good)?

If we could improve it, i'd vote for a system where ALL the old games would be listed (without the possibility to add ones) and where we could each cast like 5 votes

By the way : Vote Aztec

Most wanted forum improvement? A bunch of professional moderators that would prevent some of the drama we witnessed the past two days.

Oh, and the annihilation of the rep system.

That would be real improvements.
Rep... who cares really

But i do agree the forum needs some moderation. Hell even if GOG asked a few of the old time users (i dont count myself in that category) to do it, gave them a mod alt or whatever
I wish we had a more improved wanted list as well, just for the sake of giving newcomers and old something to use for various reasons.

Honestly, I think that even having somebody manually go through and verify that repping was at least plausible would help. Then ban anybody that routinely abuses the system. It's one thing to accidentally rep somebody, but to routinely abuse it is something which ought to be punished before it gets any more out of hand.

There will always be some people who will care about it and thus some of them will try to abuse it. Just because they can. So I say let's nuke that system totally, because anyway it doesn't serve any purpose here on GOG.
A way to preview posts and a decent search function. I've found no preview feature, and the only search function I've seen is one-size-fits-all garbage. No ability to filter by date. No ability to choose between viewing results as post or threads. I don't think there is a need for anything complicated, but basic search features would be very much appreciated.

Feel free to point and laugh if either of those are already available. I don't use the forum that much, so I wouldn't be at all surprised if I'd just missed them.
IGNORE LIST.

I repeat :

IGNORE LIST.

Ignore lists create community splits and problems......maybe an actual mod would be better.

It is kind of true, but I don't want mods.

We already have them though...though they're not officialy mods and they work mostly behind the scenes.
