The offer of strategy games on GOG.com is expanding with another addition from Kalypso's vast back catalogue - Imperial Glory is now available for only $5.99.
Imperial Glory is a real-time strategy game with turn-based elements, similar in many ways to the Total War series. It is set in the Napoleonic era, between 1789 and 1830. You can play as one of the great empires of the age: Great Britain, France, Austria, Russia or Prussia, each on a quest to conquer Europe and the Mediterranean region. In order to do this, you can engage in diplomacy, research new advancements to improve your empire, declare war and, finally, engage other countries and empires in battle, both on land and sea. Do you think you've got what it takes to take on the rest of the Old World?
Well I'll be the first. Looks good!
Thanks GOG!
Edit: Imperial Glory is a good Total War clone that packs a lot of unfulfilled potential.

In your face, Napoleon: Total War!
Another one I've not heard of before. (this is good, means some exploring to do)
I see lots of stats, charts, graphs, maps and other stuff alongside the RTS elements of the game.
Interesting, I shall have to look more into it.
Looks very interesting alright :D maybe another one for the ol' basket o' merchandise

Already posted a link in the Demo thread for ya :D.
Cool, another historial RTS, I'm known to hoover those up. Added to wishlist for next payday gogomania.
Looks good. I'll have to try that demo sometime and see how it plays.
Awesome! This is just an incredible game - one of my favourites. It came out at roughly the same time as Rome: TW and was totally overshadowed, despite being just as good imho. I'm looking forward to writing a user review for this one!
Thank god just paid my credit card yesterday now i can buy some new games. This one looks really interesting and for $5.99 is a steal
It looks interesting, but I don't like imperial era, so I'll probably pass it.
I played it a bit when it came out , great foundation and potential tho it lacked polish to stand out .
The main problem was pacing and battlefield unit control, tho nothing that cant be patched.
I can recommended it to any one who enjoys slower gameplay with deep diplomatic system (Slow being the key word)
Think I'll give it another shot

I've got this one on a DVD (magazine bundle), not a bad game at all!
Yet again another RTS game?
Maybe it's time to release games for other genres too?
This looks very interesting, very reminiscent of Total War. I think I'll pick this up sometime.
