Lord British reigns over the world of Britannia, but evil lurks within. It's time for some epic RPG experience.

You are the Avatar, the hero of heroes, and once again you must save Brittania. This [url=http://www.gog.com/en/gamecard/ultima_underworld_1_2]Ultima Underworld pack includes Ultima Underworld: The Stygian Abyss and Ultima Underworld II: Labyrinth of Worlds, both by Origin Systems. Save the princess and escape from the Stygian Abyss and then save everyone in the Labyrinth of Worlds. Each of these games gives you an epic challenge and an immersive adventure to embark upon. Play the first true 3D dungeon crawler that defined the genre and was so innovative that some of its features didn’t show up regularly in other titles for a decade or longer. Experience the freedom of an Underworld filled with hidden areas to explore and dozens of NPCs to interact with.

Awesome!!!! I'm going to have to scrape together some more virtual coins. ;)

Has anyone already tested these new GOG versions? Do they actually work fine on modern computers with DOSBox? (Just can't believe it, too good to be true!)

GREEEEEEEAT news!!! :)

Be careful though, you wrote "Brittania" on the first line of your announcement here, instead of "Britannia" ;)
I will definitely buy this but probably later.
Although I really enjoy Ultima 6 and 7, I've never played the Underworld games before. Would anyone say they're worth getting without the nostalgia-vision to back them?
Ultima Underworld is one of the best games ever. I never finished the sequel but it appeared to be more of the same (awesome.)
One of the best games ever. It had a better 3d engine than doom a year earlier. And the gameplay is crazy fun, it's like the devs just kept coming up with crazy random ideas that no one would think to put in the game, and they went, "what the heck, lets just put it in and see what happens"

Anyone wanna be kind to a lovable scamp and buy me this in return for 8 bucks on the 1st of next month?
Wishlisted for 2 since I have the original. Can't wait to get Ultima 7.
The Spoony One recently did a review on both games, so you might want to check them out if you are interested what an old Origin Systems fan has to say about them.
Yoink!
So happy right now

Never let these 2 releases slip you by, they are absolute classics and so immersive

Ok we all want Ultima - LOL (maybe it will happen)

These 2 releases are a different mould being sort of FP'ish

I cant recommend them highly enough - a must buy
Already own them both... on floppy. So, yes, I'll buy them from GOG again, because not having to bother with floppies and compatibility/configuration issues is priceless!!
awesome. i never played part 2!

so looking forward to this, and to thief 2 as well!
Tempted with this one, will think about it. Good to see some new releases!
I remember getting this for my 12th birthday back when it launched; somewhere I still have the 5 1/4s and the awesome manuals (plural) it came with, as well as the little faux cloth runebag and little metal runes. I played this game, off on and on, for about a decade; the only other game I can say that about is the original XCOM.

Make no mistake: the interface leaves a lot to be desired, the controls are very contrary to modern day conventions (no mouselook to start). Back before Wolfenstein 3-D (this predates it by a couple months) developers were still working out how best to control the pseudo-3D, and the decisions here are... don't stand up well to the test of time. But, if you can get past that (using the keyboard should help), this is one of the best games ever made. I could go on for pages singing this games praises, so I'll stop here and just thank GOG for acquiring the rights to distribute it. I'll be buying it soon for, I believe, the fourth time.
