Lord British reigns over the world of Britannia, but evil lurks within. It's time for some epic RPG experience.

You are the Avatar, the hero of heroes, and once again you must save Brittania. This [url=http://www.gog.com/en/gamecard/ultima_underworld_1_2]Ultima Underworld pack includes Ultima Underworld: The Stygian Abyss and Ultima Underworld II: Labyrinth of Worlds, both by Origin Systems. Save the princess and escape from the Stygian Abyss and then save everyone in the Labyrinth of Worlds. Each of these games gives you an epic challenge and an immersive adventure to embark upon. Play the first true 3D dungeon crawler that defined the genre and was so innovative that some of its features didn’t show up regularly in other titles for a decade or longer. Experience the freedom of an Underworld filled with hidden areas to explore and dozens of NPCs to interact with.

I haven't played these games. I had a lot of fun with the main line of Ultima games though so I should pick these up and give them a shot. Are we getting the standard Ultima games at some stage?
These games need to be part of everyone's collection, no excuses. No other game was as ahead of it's time as UW in terms of technology. It even had some basic physics and dynamic lightning in a beautifully rendered 3d environment, and it came out before Wolfeinstein3d.

It also had a huge influence on action-rpgs in general, and inspired games such as the Elder Scrolls series and the System Shock and Bioshock games.

And on top of that, it's just plain fun.

Don't "think about getting it" ... get it NOW.
GOG FUCK THE WORLD!!! You guys rules! The EA partnership is one of GOG's biggest achievement EVER! It's a shame that all these good games arrives the days before the Duke Nukem Forever Demo though :)!
UU2 is effin' ace, period. (never played UU1 sadly :( )

I learnt about these games about the same time I first heeard of gog.com and Ive always wanted you to reales em. Thanks :)
I'm going to have to get this.
low rated
I will up my offer: If someone gifts me this they get 10 bucks in Gogs or other DD sites on the 1st of next month....any takers? (plz plz plz I love this game so much)
I have all of the Ultima games. ALL of them, including Alkalabeth. I have an esata drive dedicated to emulation, including Dosbox. I run the Underworld games under DOSBox with no issues, and better than it ran on my old 486/66 which was top of the line when the game came out. Current system is a 5 year old laptop core 2 duo 2ghz, 3gb ram. Win7-32.

So most computers should run it fine. I will most likely purchase on GOG as well, as it beats having to drag out the CDs from storage if I need to reinstall.

Due to the fact that I still know where all my old EA/Origin/Bullfrog games are I was disappointed that it wasn't LucasArts. I am still excited about EA. Hoping the Entire Wing Commander Series makes it....Even though, again, I have them all on disk. GOG will make them easier to install and run on newer machines, without me having to scour various websites for fan-made patches and updates.

As I'm asking on the Dungeon Keeper and WC:Privateer threads...does this use DOSBox?

Yes
Imho, the 2 top most immersive RPGs I have ever played.

They are massive and the production value is through the roof in terms of RPG content.

An absolute must for RPG fans.

Great games!
I own both of these on CD (sorry GoG) and recommend them both. Don't let the lack of mouselook put you off.
Some of my best gaming moments were spent dungeon crawling in the Stygian Abyss and slaying goblins and giant spiders. I lost myself (and also many hours) in Ultima Underworld and can't wait to play it again. This is such a trip down the memory lane.

Thanks, Gog.
Allllright
Two of my most wanted games
One of my most anticipated releases yet. Thank you so much. GOG.com makes the world a better place.
