Today we’re releasing the last installment of the [url=http://www.gog.com/en/catalogue#all_genres/search/zork]Zork series. As they say, third time’s a charm, The Grand Inquisitor is the third part of the graphical Zork games and surely the best. By far the best one in terms of being accurate to the original Zork adventures with its surreal, silly humor and the pop culture references that leave you smiling when you encounter them ;)

Zork: Grand Inquisitor is set in the Great Underground Empire where an ex-student of the Magic University takes over the whole country and implements a totalitarian regime banning magic as a whole. The dictator is the titular Grand Inquisitor who seeks to shun magic, shun the appearance of magic, shun everything, and then shun shunning. The Grand Inquisitor takes a unique view of how to shun someone with the aid of “swift totemization” by courtesy of Frobozz Electric, a process that, trust us, you don't want to go through. The people of Quendor need a hero to relieve them from the dictatorial regime! You are AFGNCAAP. "Ageless, Faceless, Gender-Neutral, Culturally-Ambiguous Adventure Person" which happens to be the hero in most of adventure puzzle games, as well as in Infocoms original Zork games. You meet Dungeon Master Dalboz who gives you the quest to find the three legendary artifacts (one of the Cubes of Foundation, the Coconut of Quendor, and the Skull of Yoruk) required to bring back magic and put an end to the Grand Inquisitor's regime.

The graphic side of Zork aged very well and with the use of real actors for its cut-scenes, Z:GI has nothing to be ashamed of. Superb music and ambient sounds would be enough for many games, but Zork: Grand Inquisitor takes things a step further be being one of the first games to offer full closed captioning so the hearing impaired can enjoy the game to the fullest. Don’t wait and grab the last installment of the Zork series for $5.99 DRM-free only on GOG.com.

is anyone willing to help me out with this? I'm broke- I posted before meuller, but noticed he got a gift code first. Would anyone help me?
not trying to sound shitty, but I'm just as broke, and I posted HOURS before his post. I would love to be able to play this game...if someone is out there who could help me, please do, and please note that I asked way before mauller intimated he wanted the game.

I think it's up to the gift giver to decide who to give the gift. Jealousy is not a good thing among those who ask codes..

Don't you agree?

look, I'm sorry. I really would love to play the game and noticed the generosity on here...never asked before. I don't mean to be rude, but I just never seem to get noticed on this type of stuff. I don't understand what I did wrong and that mauller did right. It's just luck of the draw I guess :-
perhaps someone will help me

luck of the draw right? its just some other random guy that posts AFTER me that lucks out...real cool. Jealous? Yeah, I asked fair and square before him and for no good reason you help him out. I guess if I'm pissed about that, I'm jealous.

what? Have you gone retarded on me? You give preferential treatment out, mauller must be a real close friend eh? I want to know specifically what he did that I did not do way ahead of him that made you choose him over me. I really want to know, and don't say I'm an asshole, because you made this choice before I ever brought this up to you

You know, sometimes life just isn't fair.

...and it doesn't seem like it was KneeTheCap that gifted him the game anyway....

You're not the only one o.O

Also, I'm guessing he must hate it if he ever joins in a giveaway that uses random.org to pick the winner from...

The entitled generation learns sooner or later that, in fact, they have nothing and deserve nothing.
Ahhhh yes, I beat this one a couple years back, it is one of the most flat-out hilarious games you'll ever play.Having Michael Mckean as the voice of your constant traveling companion alone makes this worth getting.

I cringed a little reading through this exchange. Jesus.
