SirPrimalform: It had (has?) access to DSiware but they never added any VC games to the DSi shop.

Theta_Sigma: Welp, glad I never wasted the money then. I still hope that the 3DS gets the Mother trilogy at least, even if done as a port done like with Ocarina of Time.
Seems unlikely, Nintendo hates us Mother fans.

Sure seems like it, I mean it would seem like re-releasing any (or all) of the trilogy would be a license to print money. I would so pre-order a copy of the games, and that isn't something I do very often.

kalmis666: Got hold of a 3DS recently myself and been looking at the eshop as well. Except for some indie games haven't really bought anything there. Well Super Mario 3 was on sale during Christmas so I got that, but yeah that emulation seems very bare-bones.
Anyone have tried to those Mega Drive 3D "remakes"? I heard somewhere that they were good. Just wonder how are the games without 3D, that bs gives me headache.
As with many things that are just cheaply edited versions with 3D slapped on, it functions just fine without the 3D on.
As much as the virtual console sucks, the recent genesis/megadrive remakes are quite good actually and they deserve their price tag more than the nintendo games on the VC.

I only got Sonic 1 and Shinobi 3. For both, you can remap the buttons, choose the audio processor, the version (International or Japan) or the 3d rendering. The most interesting are the added gameplay features which you can enable or not. In Sonic 1, you can do the spin dash just as in the following episodes. In Shinobi 3, you get to play with 6 buttons which makes guard and throwing projectiles easier.
