I think you misread my post, which is a bit odd, since - even if the wording weren't clear - it should've become clear from the context, imho?

No, seriously: there are probably better ways to express the meaning I wanted to bring across (I'm not a native speaker), but I still find my post hard to misunderstand, and I simply didn't write what you claim I wrote. But this argument is getting silly, so if it pleases you, we can settle at "you're right and I got my peace" just as well. ;)

Thank you, I did actually understand the intent (the very next sentence gave it away.) That statement is unclear, however, and it is not surprisingly interpreted to mean otherwise.

Interestingly enough, that "mistake" or "unclearity" might actually be something very important when it comes to questions about market dominance and anti trust questions.

So, even if GOG did get the licenses for various Quakes, there'd be people bitching long and loud that' it's 'Cheeper on Steem !!!'

As for Wolfenstein, if it was a priority they could either leave it out of the pack. I suppose that changing it to be like the SNES version would be more trouble than it's worth.

Doom 2 has two bonus levels which are lifted from Wolfenstein 3d. With all art assets intact, if you know what I mean.
IIRC, the german release of Doom 2 had them removed. Hence it was only indexed and not banned. They could pack the german Doom 2 release (which shouldn't be indexed anymore, at least Doom 1 isn't) for germans, however...

I'd classify this as silly, but understandable. Not that there's any reason to go arguing about this.

read the sentence like this:
Bethesda has adopted a policy to release their games exclusively with Steamworks.
