Don't know what the game is about? Psychonauts is an action-adventure platform game created by the very creative and not less twisted mind of one of the industry's greats - Tim Schafer. You play as Raz, a young boy with great psychic talent attending a psychic summer camp. Your quest is to solve the mystery of the kidnappings and to do that you'll have to enter the minds of other camp members and battle their nightmares. To this crazy concept add great script and awesome level design and you get a helluva ride!

The game is only $2.49 until Thursday, February 24 at 10 a.m. EDT.

Heh, and I only just bought a $9.99 copy of Psychonauts yesterday. Anyway, paying only $2.49 for this game would totally feel like robbing Tim Schafer, Scott C, Peter McConnell and all the other creative people involved. If you can live with that, I encourage everyone to go ahead and buy it now. At least there's no excuse not to check it out anymore. :)

And if you miss the opportunity, don't worry, it will still be worth its money afterwards. In fact, even $9.99 is an amazing bargain, especially if you're a fan of Schafer's LucasArts projects like Grim Fandango, DOTT etc..

I've already got this one on Xbox. Great deal for anyone who hasn't played it.

This deal reminded me that I quit playing at the Meat Circus. I still need to look that up on Youtube to see the final ending because I will not be going back to finish it. Game play for the rest of the game was a lot of fun and I still feel like I got my money's worth.

Huh. Here I was sitting in the McDonald's drivethru an hour ago thinking how nice it would be if I had a new platformer for my PS2, but thinking I couldn't afford more than $2 or $3. It's disturbing that the monks can read minds.

Fantastic game.

Years ago I played through the XBox version with my kid. It was one of the few times I was the one saying "hey, how about we go play some XBox?". It has some rough spots but the story, levels and characters are fantastically creative.

Most every area you enter is a "wow" moment. Also, it has bacon. What more could you want in a game?
