Licurg: Make a Paypal account, it's easy.
He talked about using his dad's paypal account, so I'm going to assume that he is underage and thus cannot open a paypal account.

Oh. Well then, he could probably use Paypal without making an account, that should work.

The first time I ever purchased from GOG, they froze my VISA account until I verified that I had indeed made the purchase. Also If he is underage and it's a second card on his Dad's account the odds of there being certain international blocks are much higher.
No I am 20 I could make a paypal. I just asked my dad to use his because the deal for the item I wanted was going to end very soon. I just don't think I can transfer money from my bank account into paypal.

And the GOG account is mine lol. I just think it is weird that Banks don't allow payment through Cyprus. Do they scam a lot or something? I can order something from the UK just fine.

Paypal links to your bank account or credit card, but it takes them awhile to verify you are real.

You can add your credit card to a Paypal account, and then choose that as your payment source when you purchase using Paypal from GOG. No need to transfer money, it's like an ordinary VISA transaction on your account.
Hmm, and you get sent a paypal card? I am always weird making accounts that are really important like PayPal.

No no... it's just for online. Basically Paypal is just a credit card processor in this case... think of Paypal like the cash register at brick and mortar store, it doesn't do anything more than that in this case. Basically you put your credit card info into Paypal, and then when you're checking out on any website that offers Paypal you can select Paypal and a screen will come up that lets you choose the source of the funds for that transaction... if you set this to your credit card, then Paypal bills your credit card the correct amount, gives that to the online store without telling them your credit card info or anything, and you get whatever it is you purchased. All online, all very simple.
I'm in the US, and my bank switched their check card / visa card processor to a different outfit last January. Since then, if I try to make any purchases from GoG, my bank deactivates my card automatically as part of a fraud protection package I never actually signed up for. Called up my bank, asked if I could "whitelist" GoG purchases and retain the fraud protection; their answer: no. In essence, in order to purchase anything from GoG, I have to call my bank, deactivate all fraud protection, then make the purchase (the protection re-activates after an hour or something). Basically, after years of GoG purchases and building a nice big library, I haven't bought anything this year because it's frankly too big of a hassle to call my bank in advance of every purchase I make, especially since prime purchasing hours are on the weekend when my bank is closed. Very ticked but as far as I know there's nothing to be done since I'm not willing to switch banks just for GoG (as much as I love the service). I'm very wary of paypal, heard a lot of bad things...

Yes, that is exactly what we are saying.

???? IIRC, Paypal is owned by ebay. I've used them for years and not experienced a single problem.

The problems mostly had to do with people who held larger balances within Paypal itself. Paypal had a habit of investigating such accounts for possible breaches of their terms of service, during which time the funds were often frozen and unacceptable to the owner. Notch, the creator of Minecraft had them freeze his account when there was something like six million dollars in it. He got it back, obviously, but it's a huge hassle. In Notch's case I think it the definition of selling an item in their terms of service had no way to account for the alpha state pre-purchase way that Minecraft was sold.

Using them as a simple credit card processor like I mentioned in my last post, you shouldn't have any problems.

Thanks for the paypal info guys. Will have to think that over, tired of missing out on great GoGs.
Haha, My bank called me today about the many times I tried to purchase an item from GOG with my card. I told them it was me and that someone did not have my card. They said if I wanted they could open it for 24 hours to be able to purchase from GOG with my card but not forever. Oh well. Might have to make a PayPal in the end if I ever plan on buying something from GOG again (which I probably will). GOG should really change their payments from being Cyprus.
