wut
PETA is a joke, and clearly all they want is to further strengthen that notion.
Is there a game where you wear PETA skin?
I always thought that was the product of an unholy union when Mario accidentally rescued a raccoon instead of the princess. I think they would have a better argument going after COD for destroying natural habitats or WOW for the endlessly grinding of wildlife.

I dread to think what they think of me - I mean I've bombarded whole planets from orbit in Sins of a Solar Empire --- Imagine the catastrophic levels of destruction and death I've caused!

In the end PETA just wants marketing/attention and will do anything to get it. The fact that most of their campaigns are nutty suggests that the people at the top simply don't care and want clicks/attention at any cost or they are seriously fanatical to the point of losing common reason.

EDIT - heck till I read their article the idea that mario is flying around in a skinned animal suit didn't cross my mind - so I guess they are working against animal rights by reinforcing an already fringe understanding of things ;)

Fun fact: Less than 1% of the funding PETA receives goes to actually helping animals
I really hope Nintendo sues the shit out of them. As much as I love animals, but PETA are a joke and hurting the cause of animal rights in every possible way.

85% of statistics on the net are made up, the other 33% are random guesses and of the final 2% of real statistics are based upon erroneous data gathering.
A bunch of attention seekers. I don't support anyone who uses such kind of methods. But I guess I'm not alone, seeing that they don't even enable comments on their own site / blog...

In all seriousness though, most of their money is wasted on Massive ad Campaigns and Celebrities
Wasted on USELESS ad campaigns. It is so sad that those stupid attention seekers make a joke of a very serious topic.
PETA is a crock. http://www.petakillsanimals.com/index.cfm

if that's true, then they're far worse than mere idiots.

Indeed. Such as this wonderful use of funding:

I agree with PETA, first it's fur coats then it's purple hats with really long feathers and probably rioting. This scourge must be stopped.
