The most interesting one so far to me is Gravity Rush, but It's not enough to get me to buy a Vita at launch.

I read somewhere that there is an upgraded version of Final Fantasy Type 0 coming to the Vita. That's the one game I'm most looking forward to.

We are waiting for Razer's Project Fiona to come to market... If they put a reasonable price... we will see a new handheld king ;)

Well, i like my PSP much more than my DS, for so many reasons. PSP games, in my opinion, are just much better than DS ones, especially from third parties. PSP games are much, much more beautiful than DS games, controls are better (i love the analog stick), and they feel better produced. To be honest, i did like DSs touch screen, but the games that made good use of it are just so rare. In most games the touch screen is just a poorly implemented gimmick. Another problem is that the DS is just filled with titles designed for casual players, like Nintendogs and Brain Age, which i really dont like. PSP titles are, in my opinion, much more appealing to hardcore gamers. I always wished for a console-like experience on a portable device, and PSP accomplished this better than DS did. PSP had games with a quality pretty close to PS2 titles.

Another thing i i like to remind is that PSP was a great portable device for its time. It wasnt just a great gaming device, it was also a great gadget. When it was released, no other portable device had so many nice features like the PSP. On the PSP you could run movies, mp3, and play games on a very large screen with a high resolution. iPod couldnt be compared to it. The DS couldnt do that too, the only way to get mp3 and movie files to run on a DS was by buying a flash cart. Oh, and PSP was like heaven for homebrew. There were just so many cool homebrew apps and emulators.

Im certainly getting a PSVita on release.

I'll wait for the second revision or so, I refuse to buy from sony till the hardware defects start getting found.

I just hope that the VITA will not have any of those retarded Dead pixels like the PSP had, even my 3000 Had a dead pixel that drove me crazy

I think they said its going to be under $1000, so im thinking $999. I don't mean to be cute with that. Its just that when it comes to prices, under x usually = x-1. This puts it at about 4 times too expensive to be competitive with the Vita and 3DS. Its not really meant as a direct competitor for them anyway though, so I don't think that will be a problem for Razer.

I'll buy a Vita.... When Capcom will make a proper sequel to my beloved Ghosts'n Goblins saga :-P

To be honest 1000$ for Fiona will be very nice.... If the videos they show are true it is quite a tablet...the only thing I hate about it is the design... this pads looks awful...
And think about it... u gonna buy Vita/3DS for around 300 euro or you will buy handheld pc for 850?

Its not that I don't understand that Project Fiona looks awesome. Its not targeted at the same crowd as the 3DS/Vita is though. Im not trying to say that I think the Vita is going to be better or anything, because its not. Its way too expensive as just a handheld gaming system though, but that okay. Its not just a handheld gaming system. Its a tablet PC. People who are looking to buy a handheld gaming system aren't normally looking for tablet PCs though.

You also have to consider that Project Fiona doesn't get exclusive games. That's a big factor in why people buy handheld gaming systems. For the price of Project Fiona, you could get a desktop PC that's considerably more powerful.

These things all add up to make Project Fiona a rather niche product. Its unrealistic to think its going to come out on top of the handheld gaming market.

Unfortunately I've never seen Razor put a reasonable price on anything IMO.

Vita looks like it's shaping up to be an excellent platform. Doubt I'll ever get one but it seems like something my girlfriend would enjoy (she enjoys gaming on the go much more than I) especially for the Uncharted games. Be interesting to see the emulation abilities as well a few years down the road.

I get ur point about the price tag. But think about it - AC Revelations in ur hands... BF3 in ur hands... Will u still buy Vita? ;)

About Razer... besides their mouse pads/headphones .... Mouse and keyboards are reasonable priced for me. 100$ for a mouse is not that much if u work for 2500$ a month...
And about handheld gaming... yes I like exclusives too.. but to be honest i will not give 300 euro for a console to play 3-4 games... it's lame.
The big difference from Fiona & Vita/DS is the Windows part.... actually you will be able to use ur tablet like a normal 10" touchscreen pc ;) We will see when they start selling it. 1000$ for a i7 processor tablet is not that much(i7 processor is 300-400$)

They both look better on my gaming PC with 42 inch HDTV as a monitor than they will on a small tablet screen. Plus, I don't really game and go enough to justify the cost of the tablet. I want one, but I just wouldn't use it often enough when I have a great gaming rig at home. That's less of a factor for the Vita. Not only is it 1/4 the price, but It has games on it that I'm going to need to play. Games that are not available anywhere else. So yes, I will still buy a Vita. That's me though. If console style games aren't really your thing, but you still want to game on the go, Project Fiona is your best bet. I sure would like one myself, and actually considered saving up for it. If I put a little aside each month I could have enough to get it when it comes out. In the end though I decided against it. I will be keeping my eye on it though. Just because I don't buy it right away doesn't mean I wont get it at all. It is unlikely though. Having set hardware works fine for a system like Vita or 3DS, but it does not work as well with PC games. In a year or two it will probably struggle with new games, and I doubt there is anything to be done about it.

I actually had the chance to get my hands on one at Gamescom back in August, and I was rather impressed with the device itself, just not with the booth babe leering over me trying to tell me everything about it. I was playing Gravity Rush, which is arguably the one game that makes the best use of the various control features of the Vita.

It's a decent piece of hardware, but Sony doesn't seem to have learnt from their lesson with the PSP that the more tightly they try to control the platform, the less customers will be inclined to buy it. There do seem to be some decent launch titles - Wipeout and Uncharted to name two others - but the issue with the memory card is a joke to be honest, and I'm tempted to wait to see how things develop.

I'll probably stick with my PSP for the time being - I've got more than enough games for it after all - and wait until either the Vita gets hacked so that I can use it for other stuff should it tank after all, or until it enjoys a little more success.

If the PS VITA gets as many great RPGs as the PSP then I'll buy one for sure. I'm pretty much going to buy one for Persona 4: The Golden and the eventual Disgaea 4 port.

So you prefer good games on ur PC but u will still buy Vita?
Don't get your point actually .. let's put the diffs out:
Vita - 5" 960 × 544 display,couple of exclusive games and no video output.

Fiona - 10.1" 1280x800 display,all pc games that can go on i7 processor,Dolby® 7.1 surround sound and from the presentation at CES 12... HDMI outpot to connect to ur 42" LCD ;)

Vita's design is better because it's smaller... but still the bigger display catch the eye. About the price tag - if u put aside the idea of 1/3 of the money difference ...Fiona is the better handheld gaming device. Time will tell when Razer officially release it.

P.s. btw Razer started selling Blade in the US ...for 3 days and a price tag of 2700$ they sell all they got ;)
