The PSV will have more than just a couple of exclusives.

spinefarm: P.s. btw Razer started selling Blade in the US ...for 3 days and a price tag of 2700$ they sell all they got ;)
yes, well ... people are fucking stupid and sadly one of the best ways to get rich is to sell excessively priced, low quality shit to people who have more money than sense and will buy up just about anything you can convince them is an exclusive level purchase.

Mmm Razer Blade is quite good gaming laptop...and it's not a low quality.... to be exact this is the specs:
http://www.razerzone.com/blade#/performance
This is at price tag: $2,799.99

At the same configuration by Dell to be exact Allienware u pay: $3,149.00

So I guess Blade price is reasonable for this kind of laptop ;)

I like being able to try games before I buy them and because of that, I only buy systems that have been hacked. I own a NDS and a DS One card for it and own some 25 games - games I bought AFTER having tried them. I own some 8 games for my PSP as well - again, hacked - but found that most games on it weren't that great or I lost interest in them fairly quickly. I did use it for emulating Nintendo, SNES, GBA, etc. games though.

I'm not touching the N3DS until it's been hacked as well - these games are too expensive for what you get without being able to even try them (=big risk). The mobile market is starting to overlap the handheld market in areas anyway and the Tegra 3 already allows for better looking games (albeit not in 3D) so how you can justify charging €40 for a game on the N3DS when a better looking game on Android is a 10th of that ... . Sure, the Android market still has some catching up to do in terms of deep games - but some games are already there. Puzzle Quest 2, Majesty, several beautiful and fun pinball games, etc.

When Persona 4 The Golden gets a US release date, and the new Blazblue, Yakuza, Disgaea and Persona fighting game are released on it (is the fighting game going to be available on vita?) as well as the new Bioshock game, I will buy one for sure. I never go for handhelds, but this one seems really intriguing.
My golden rule on handhelds (and it's served me quite nicely 'til now) is do not buy until the first price drop. With the Vita, I am definitely interested, but I wonder how the battery life will be. That's going to be a big decider for this system, IMHO. One thing people loved about the DS Lite was the awesome battery life, and one of the big criticisms of the 3DS has been the battery life.

spinefarm: So you prefer good games on ur PC but u will still buy Vita?
Don't get your point actually .. let's put the diffs out:
Vita - 5" 960 × 544 display,couple of exclusive games and no video output.

Fiona - 10.1" 1280x800 display, all pc games that can go on i7 processor,Dolby® 7.1 surround sound and from the presentation at CES 12... HDMI outpot to connect to ur 42" LCD ;)

Vita's design is better because it's smaller... but still the bigger display catch the eye. About the price tag - if u put aside the idea of 1/3 of the money difference ...Fiona is the better handheld gaming device. Time will tell when Razer officially release it.

P.s. btw Razer started selling Blade in the US ...for 3 days and a price tag of 2700$ they sell all they got ;)
Look, I already agreed that Fiona is better than the Vita in one of my earlier posts. What one is better overall, and what one is better fore me are not the same thing though. Over the course of a handheld lifetime, it will get a whole bunch of exclusive games that will not work on anything else. Games that I want to play. Maybe you don't want to play those games, but that's irrelevant to my decision. I want to play them, and that's whats important. I don't like to limit what games I can get my hands on. Project Fiona will get zero exclusive games. I cant figure the desire to play a certain game into its price tag, as I already have a gaming PC. It would be like me buying two Vita's, even though I only need one of them.

Its cool if your opinion isn't the same as mine. I see nothing wrong with that. Everyone likes different things.

As for everybody else, I don't think they will want Fiona over Vita as well. You disregard the price tag, but most people don't. The PS3 and PSP were both hurt pretty bad by the high Initial price. Sony likes to cut it way too close, and im sure they will be doing the same with the Vita. I will be waiting until there are more than just the three games I want before I get it primarily for that reason. Basically what im saying is that if $600 is too much for the average gamer to spend an a full blown game console, $1000 is too much for a handheld. That's just the average gamer though. Razer doesn't make products for the average gamer. They make products for the hardcore ones. The people who will pay extra to get the best. They do well at it too. There are a lot of people out there who want the best, and Project Fiona is it. Im sure it will sell just fine. People aren't always interested in the best though. They also like cheap and simple.

What a lame excuse for piracy. By the way, the 3DS is starting to get a few downloadable demos. I just played RE Revelations demo and it looks awesome.

How is wanting to try before you spend nearly a day's earnings on a game you might not like, lame? Sounds to me you need to learn a bit more about how life works - only idiots and suckers buy without trying unless the risk is low enough and for games, anyone knows that you can never be sure how much you'll enjoy it. This is not like a $3 movie you rent, it's a $50 game you're buying. I didn't buy ANY Wii games until I had it modded either, because I couldn't try them - heck, to be honest, I didn't buy many either after that because most Wii games just suck but it goes to show, if they didn't I'd have bought more.

Well, if being honest and buying the games to give developers the money they deserve to get for the title they made is called being an idiot and a sucker, then yeah, im an idiot and a sucker. Pleased to meet you.

avatar
Red_Avatar: Sounds to me you need to learn a bit more about how life works
Oh yeah, how does life work then? Life works by downloading games for free and giving nothing to developers? Not for me. Im not a thief.

If youre playing games you didnt pay for youre still a pirate, no matter how much you say otherwise.

In other words, you'd pay full price for any item even if it was utter crap? In that case, I have a really great car to sell you. Only $10.000 and you may even get to drive a mile before it breaks down but hey, someone worked hard to build that car so they deserve that money. *facepalms* Yes, that's another way of calling you naive.

Western civilization and its economy is built around the right to try before you buy OR to get the chance to return it if you're unhappy. The software industry along with, in some countries, the movie industry, has made it so you CAN'T return games any more. Buy a game, you keep it even if it's shit. That's called taking a gamble - and all this because they're greedy fat cats who would rather take away our rights than to lose a dollar - the second hand market is dying because of them as well.

It's called TRYING a game you dolt. I don't play it for more than hour or two tops - if I enjoy it, I'll want to keep playing meaning I'll buy it. If I don't enjoy it, then why was it worth buying in the first place? Maybe that's too complex for you to understand (especially considering the ridiculous point you made above) but trust me, it makes sense. The industry has tried to take away our right of trying before buying so I'm simply taking back what we deserve.

Besides, learn to read first - I clearly said all this (in less words, but still) in my original post.

I've just explained the difference between the 2 of them to people...
I have one question about Vita and PS3... isn't it the same thing in gaming titles (don't flame me I really don't know)

Btw I'm not a fan of Sony at all.. from the exclusives they create I like 3 games Gran Turismo series,Uncharted & God of War... and for 11 games i will not pay 350euro(the pricetag for PS3 here). I own a Xbox 360 - yeah u will say they have fewer exclusives... but the price tag is half the PS3 price...and for me it has the better gamepad.

At the end I'm not saying that Vita is bad - I like the idea but still don't worth it at this moment...

Red_Avatar: In other words, you'd pay full price for any item even if it was utter crap?
Dude, cmon, there are reviews, gameplay videos, forums with user opinions all over the fucking place. You can get at least an idea if youll like the game or not just by searching a bit. If theres a game im not sure about, i just wait till it gets a price drop of buy it cheap second hand.

Yeah it would be great to have demos for every game. Unfortunately it doesnt happen. But that doesnt give you the right to pirate it.

On the other hand, the return system just wouldnt work with games. We know there would be a lot of people that would exploit it by buying a game, finishing it, and then returning it. So yeah, it would be possible to play the game for free. Return would never work.

No matter how much you try to convince yourself that this is trying before you buy, its still PIRACY. Unless laws in UK are different, its piracy, period. I think this is too complex for you to understand, but if youre downloading a game you didnt buy or have the rights to, its technically piracy. If you want to try before you buy, get a demo, if you download the full game, its piracy, period, it doesnt matter how much time you spend on it or if you buy it later.

I think youre the one who has to learn to read first. Ive said that downloading games you didnt pay for is piracy, and im right about that, no matter how much you deny it. I didnt criticize you or attacked you in any way, still your posts just seem to be rude agressive attacks towards me.

Im not even discussing moral issues around it. For me it doesnt matter. Some people think its ok to pirate, some dont. I do pirate sometimes myself when theres a game thats impossible to find anywhere and no one sells it anymore. Even though i have no moral issues with that, its still piracy.

No, you called me a THIEF which I take offence to - not to mention I own far more games than you'll ever seen in your entire life so get off your high horse. This wasn't about whether it was called piracy or not (of course it is, but things aren't black & white in my world) - this is about you being a major asshole about it and acting as if I was some scum of the earth for simply wanting a basic right to try something before buying which companies have taken away from us. Reviews mean squat - any idiot knows that. Even GOG proves this - most games here get 4.5 or 5/5 which is ridiculous.

And I'm not going to waste any more than this on you, though. If you can't see the difference between pirating full stop or doing it to get a quick taste of a game to help you reach a decision on whether to buy it, that's YOUR fault, not mine, so keep it to yourself, thanks.

Wait, what? I've been desperate for one of these since I first read about them. It was my main reason for getting a US based shipping forwarding company sorted out before hand. I signed up to all their newsletters and everything so I'd be able to get one the moment they became available, and now I heard not only did they already get released, but they already sold out?

I give up. I've spent the last 3 months trying to get the Razer Blade and order a super awesome desktop. Both have cost me time and money, and I have nothing to show for it. I'm just going to build my own friking computer if no one will sell me one I want. :/
