Roberttitus: How the hell are they guilty of the same crime? They fired Chuck "Can't sing to save his life" Mosely & almost immediately hired Mike "God of all creation" Patton & haven't had a change in singers since.

nmillar: I was referring to their inability to stick with a guitarist. You forgot Mike Morris, by the way.
That is not the issue that I have with Velvet Revolver. The issue that I have with Velvet Revolver is that they insist that they are looking for a new singer & then when awesome major league singers who would fit in perfectly with the band's style audition they are always turned away

Which they are perfectly entitled to do; it is their band after all ... I can't stand them either though.
dont know if you'll like them, my favorite rock band is Manic Street Preachers, their music is very good, and the lyrics are very deep with real meanings

If you tolerate this then your children will be next.
If you wanted some Punk bands that aren't mentioned, I'd put in a vote for Alkaline Trio, and Bad Religion.

The White Stripes
The Strokes
Paramore
The Fratellis
Franz Ferdinand

That's funny... I have all of those bands loaded up on WinAmp right now :-) I knew there was something I liked about you.

fr33kSh0w2012: NIN : All NIN songs but I'm not EMO okay (but I do cry when Necessary)
Also not Emo... NIN

I sort of outgrew NIN over the years, but I'll never outgrow Trent Reznor himself. The guy is a genius. His soundtrack to The Social Network is brilliant, and he's now signed on to do the music for the American remake of The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo (so I expect that music to be great too)

Nice to see a bit of appreciation for the often over looked Caerphilly boys :)

Been a rocker for quite a while now and I can't argue with the lists you've got so far. Plenty to get stuck into. For something a lil more diverse with a rock twist I'd reccomend having a listen to:

Mad Caddies - Well established US Ska punk band, brilliantly diverse with their sound. Absolute master musicians.

Flogging Molly - American-Irish-Folk-Punk. Outstanding, so much energy!

Skindred - to quote their own description "Ragga-metal-punk-hiphop". Very different from what I normally go for but have a listen and you'll understand the reccomendation. outstanding!
