Any way to remove that annoying ad-like screen that shows up after you quit a PopCap game? Peggle Nights, for example.
Hm... where did you get this PopCap game?
I have several games I got directly from PopCap and none of them shows me ads after quitting... that's strange.

Well are you sure? Every PopCap game displays some window with links for more PopCap games. :)
A lot of the online companies, especially the digital subscription ones (like the awful Bigfish) add adverts and their own screen/loader etc. It should be noted that a lot of these will lure you in with amazing deals or very good voucher codes and then automatically add you to their paid subscription service stealthily and take the money out without informing you.

Don't care about deals or stuff. Just want to get rid of the damn window. Its like I close the game, and then I have to wait a sec or two for the window to appear, and then close it again.

This, for a damn casual game (oh and I forgot, activation limits).
I gave the ones I have installed a try, none had an advertising screen at the end. I bought these, over the years, at places like Office Max on CDs. When I heard PopCap was going to start using DRM I bought several more of their games on disk to avoid the DRM, so I have around 12 games without the screen. Could the games you have be demos??

Big Fish don't add adverts to games. They add adverts or recommendations to the client. However, if you own the full version of a game you can simply click on Options, go to About and tick Quick Exit to ensure that the client never even loads if you run the game from a shortcut.

I'll download and install Peggle Nights right now. Will report back. I'm 100% it wasn't a demo.
Pop Cap games on Live do not have this (though all demo games on XBox Live do show an ad screen after you ask to quit to desktop, you can always avoid by using the Go To Home functionality that interrupts all apps).

I don't know that you have an XBox 360 or not, but I guess chalk up one more thing where PC gamers get treated worse.
Downloading the game from PopCap's site. It is the full, official release. Will install it in a VM, and will report here.
All of the PopCaps's I own are at least a couple of years old, I'm thinking this is something they have recently added along with the DRM . . . =)
I have a bunch of PopCap games on Steam, and that never happens for me.

Well, if it's the trial, it's probably going to show up after you quit the game. But once you activate it, no ads show up, ever (only a few games, like Bejeweled Twist and 2 show some sort of tip screen BEFORE launching up the game)
Baaaaaaaaaah! It is giving me activation errors. Can't activate it in the VM. Will try tomorrow, I'll contact support if I can't.

Is it possible that these screens show because the game was gifted to me?
Nope! I had gifted games before, and they activate just as usual.

This is PopCap.com we are talking about, right?
