We were wrong about the number. It was believed that 375k potatoes would allow GLaDOS to overclock and make the computations faster, this is not the case. We know the potatoes are 'enabled' at a certain amount, but we don't know what the amount is.

What a waste of potatoes this whole ARG stunt is. They could've been used in something much better, like chips.

I just played Audiosurf to see what the Portal content is. Not knowing how to activate it, I tried to start by playing "Still Alive" from my Orange Box files. GLaDOS's voice chimed in and told me it was an excellent song choice and that I must have had excellent taste in music at some point a long time ago, but the test would require a different song. Then I played a game of Audiosurf with a Portal gun for a ship, companion cubes on the field, and a new song with GLaDOS singing. :D haha.

Something's happening to the potatoes on the glados@home page, they're decreasing in number! It's like really decreasing in number, dropping as I watch it...

I think it's safe to say something's happened, whether someone's discovered and activated something or it was set to go off now anyway, what happens when it reaches zero is the question I reckon...

Well if it continue at it's current speed it will reach zero in ~12 Hours. So it's safe to suppose it's for the release.

I especially feel bad for PossessedCow. He collected it all, and diligently ran every game the ARG told him to. And he didn't get chosen.
