Lol......tell you guys what. I'm gonna srsly finish the map up tonight and start the roleplay shortly afterwards. Of course I can always add stuff in to fill in the background as I need to. :)

I am working on finalising map, and once it and my intro are up you will all need to inform me how long it will take you all to make your primary intros.

Well I am asking everyone involved to wait until I do and post my intro and stuff.....then everyone sends me their intro stories that start off their characters via PM and I check em and such then once they're OKd they can be posted to the roleplay thread I will make later.

Tomorrow Morning i'm releasing the map and infos to start off. I was gonna do it a week ago but had PC/irl troubles and had to be offline quite a bit.

Our whole FOB was working off of .5 MB of the internets (God forbid the officers live with out their Blackberries) so traffic was kept to a minimum. Brass just about drove me up a wall. What is the point of field exercises when you want a modern office set up on a fucking mountain?

Sorry for the EUUA (Entirely Unnecessary Use of Acronyms).
FOB is forward operating base. It is a improvised base that is set up closer to the action.

My unit was participating in the Marine Corps Javelin Thrust training in Bridgeport, California. It was mostly mountain warfare exercises and live fire ranges (including the Javelin Missile).

Fun Fact: Each Javelin Missile we fired was worth around 120,000 $.
EDIT: Fun Fact: My unit had a little money left in its ever-shrinking budget so they bought 20 military dirt bikes for the Javelin Thrust. It didn't occur to them that no one had any training or licence for them. They idiocy at least did not include bringing them anyway.

So this is the one I missed

Map will be up soon. Possibly in a few hours. I know.....promises promises. But I had no PC for a week or so....then Roo asked me to put it on hold for a bit longer yesterday.

I will only be releasing a beta map when it starts mind you. As Roo has asked to work on it a bit as well. Most areas will remain as they are though and nothing should be deleted in the new map.

Map will be up in 2-3 hours. Then my intro will be written shortly after. Then everyone adds theirs in when ready.
