Also, I suppose it should be pointed out that there are programs that bock Google Analytics automatically (e.g. Avast!, Ad-Aware, and Spybot S&D) or upon user request (Do Not Track Plus, and various other Firefox plugins).

While I personally hate the "Big Brother" incursions that are occurring throughout modern life, this particular issue seems to me to be one of little significance. Either a person doesn't know/care about GA and therefore ignores it entirely, or they do care about GA and have already taken steps to block it on every site.

This thread is not about geotracking, not about CDN usage and not about uptime/reliability. It is about financial transactions, that should be considered privileged information between the customer and the supplier, being sent on to a third party without informing the customer, let alone getting their consent.
