Yay, we're scary, and now there's two of us! Can You shoot fireballs? Cause i'm useless. ;P

GameRager: Play games several at once and alternate...so many hours per game, each day.
I do alternate. But like I said, there's a backlog mountain so I could have a dozen games on the go right now. Yeah, seriously.

GameRager: Wasn't F1/2 set in or near Nevada?
If I remember right, F1 was set around the Oregon/California border, and F2 was set a bit further south. I do remember recognizing some of the towns in F1.

GameRager: You said it wasn't hit? So it WAS hit? Just not my all the MIRV warheads? Also how the fuck did he stop 49 warheads?
Vegas wasn't directly hit. There are parts of the wasteland that are irradiated, it wouldn't be a Fallout game otherwise. Vegas enjoys clean water and power from the Hoover Dam.

How did he stop the nukes? I guess you will have to play the game to find out. ;)

I'm with you, I'll probably end up canceling my Witcher Preorder, just because I'm not likely to have the time to play it, and it's hard to justify upgrading my video card for a game that I probably won't have time to play.
Get off my lawn, you damn kids!

Can you play NV without having to play and without spoiling Fallout 3? I heard the games weren't connected by much.

Kingoftherings: I can't find this image anymore, but I saw something similar that showed WoW dungeon maps instead of FPS maps. It was a pretty similar thing. Maze-like maps from Vanilla, and linear maps in newer expansions.
not exactly to what you are referring to
http://www.mmo-champion.com/threads/748918-Instance-Maps

but is that of any use? I don't really know at what i am looking at.

They aren't connected at all. There is a mention from the Brotherhood of Steel about a rogue element that went West but that's about it. You can go straight from Fallout 2 to New Vegas.

I would even argue it works best that way.

I enjoyed Fallout 3 a lot but yes, story wise it does make more sense to go from the classic Fallout's to New Vegas.

Actually now I remember the Brotherhood also mention the Chapter that went north as well that I assume is the one featured in Fallout: Tactics.

Ha! Exactly. I could save some money on hardware upgrades that way too. My computer is depressingly not meeting the recommended specs of some upcoming games. :(

I've been doing that for a while now. I broke with it for a period after having been gifted a copy of FO3, but being a poor grad student, I'm not really sure that it's worth the bonuses that they are giving out to have to upgrade my video card.
