I noticed it briefly yesterday, but only because I was only on the My Account page briefly yesterday, but today it's non-stop. When I'm on the My Account Page (Our game shelves) I get the Windows Exclamation sound. And it never stops. About every 3 seconds I get that sound (if you don't know what sound I'm talking about see attachment).

I haven't (knowingly) made any changes to my computer, but I don't see any other threads here talking about it so I'm guessing no one else is experiencing it so it must be my computer.

Can anyone help me figure out what the problem might be?

ADDED: This is possibly only related to IE users and possibly only to IE 11 users. Any of you using either of those getting this? If it matters, I'm on Windows 7, 64-bit.

I just tried with Firefox, and got no such Windows exclamation sound problem.

Do you have things plugged into your USB ports?

edit: I see it now, thanks. But the reason I ask about ports is because entering/exiting something out of them can make that sort of sound, and I was having the same problem where the sound would occur since my laptop was on an unstable surface, and I had a fan plugged undernearth; the connection from the fan is a bit loose. I can't imagine why the sound would occur just of the games' page, though.

Do you mean the sound you get when you're trying to close a window and it doesn't because of a sub window open that you were unaware of? Try closing your browser completely and reopening it again.

Yes, but nothing new added or changed in the last two months or so.

It's a laptop, and I hate the touch tablet, I've had a USB mouse plugged in since I ran it, then about three months ago actually plugged this laptop into a bigger monitor, and added a USB keyboard too. And then the other USB component plugged in is my gamepad, which I've had plugged in off and on since I've owned it.

I've closed the browser, I've logged off and back on, and I've restarted. I also ran a malwarebytes full scan and it found only one thing and it's a common find that I _think_ is a false positive but either way don't think it has anything to do with this because it's been found before and as I said this just started yesterday.

For anyone wondering, the thing Malwarebytes finds is related to a game I have installed but now exactly which one escapes my memory again. Is there a company called Softionware or Ionsoftware or something with "ion" and "Soft" in it??? That's the thing that comes up when I do a malwarebyte scan.

Nothing showed up on my normal AV program, but I did do a full scan on that as well. I don't think is virus/malware related, but obviously I can't rule that out.

I don't have anything plugged in the USB ports of my laptop right now, I have a Bluetooth mouse attached. ;)

Makes sense I don't use IE anymore so was unaware of what might be causing it, I tried to replicate it and opened the My Account page on GOG but couldn't recreate the problem. I am using IE 10 though not IE 11.

I also have IE 11. I checked it again just now, it's still doing it.

It's something at GOG's end all right, i just don't know for sure what's causing it, the cert changes was the only thing i could think of when it happened yesterday.

Yeah, I just checked again and it's still doing it. Now that we know it's IE related, and IE 11 specifically related, I'm going to go ahead and mark it as the solution since it does appear it's on gog's end.

Is it just a coincidence that both of you had this issue with IE 11 and were probably the only ones using IE also having joined GOG in 2008 a month apart. ;)

I'm going to shoot a mail to support to see if they can pinpoint and fix the issue.

If it's certificate related then it's likely Windows itself.
