Im a huge fan of MoO2.
Got all three.
There was some sale or other where it was actually cheaper to buy it than not buy it.
If you're gonna play 3, do it before 2.
It's a bit like Civ in that respect, 2 is MUCH, MUCH better than 3.

The problem with the third is, that the developers decided to go 3D with space fights, but still with ugly graphics.

The Game mechanics are almost automatically... for me, I am just clicking "Next turn" as the AI is doing the rest for me... I do just send ships around.

#2 is the best in the series.
