A post-crime story.

1954 Alcatraz, a Daedalic Entertainment prison break adventure where treachery meets love and morals clash with greed, is available 10% off on GOG.com. That's only $17.99 for the first week.

Joe's doing 40 years on Alcatraz for a heist on an armored truck. The loot is still hidden out there, but only Joe knows where it is. In the streets of San Francisco, Joe's ex-accomplices and his wife are eager to find the stolen money. Who will get their hands on the dough? Players will decide between love, treachery, life and death: will Joe's wife, Christine assist her husband during his prison break? Will they recover the fortune together? Or will they succumb to greed? Will Christine deceive Joe, taking revenge for all the disappointments and a marriage that brought her nothing but hardship? Will she just turn her back on Joe and hit the road with his former accomplices? Or will Joe gain everything in the end?

1954 Alcatraz, offers all what makes a great adventure: challenging puzzles, a mature crime story with a dynamic plot and various possible outcomes, and a whole bunch of shady characters: brutal felons, making life on The Rock even harder for Joe, while outside not only his partners-in-crime but also snoops and cops are after the money and Christine. The cinematic San Francisco of the 1950s, caught in a gritty comic style is a harsh place. But it's also a place where 1954: Alcatraz can pay homage to history and zeitgeist, in form of the Beatnik culture and other contemporary themes.

If you're looking for immersive plot and an envolving story with multiple endings you should check out 1954 Alcatraz, for only $17.99 on GOG.com. The 10% off release discount offer lasts until Tuesday, March 18, at 10:59AM GMT.
Daedalic E. is making lots of releases, but I guess I will pass this one for now - have to finish Blackguards + DLC first.
Let's pop this Daedalic game (with German audio) in the forums, shall we?
Hardware requirements for new Deadalic adventures are just killing me...3GB of RAM ...sigh :-(

A Daedalic game with german language?
Is the sky falling again?
thought it was this game :D
Looks good, but I won't buy another Daedalic game at full price, before they finally give us the German version of Goodbye Deponia.

Wishlisted for now, will wait for a promo.

Why on earth would an adventure game use (or even require) 3GB ram ?
Been waiting for this one , my favourite developer in my favourite genre on my favourite place in the whole world , how can i say no =)

Thankyou Daedalic and GOG :)
For some reason whenever I think of Alcatraz I think of that action movie with the rockets full of green balls...

Anyway tbh I kinda hope Daedalic starts making more RPG's instead of adventure games, Blackguards so far is very good, more please!

Cool! An adventure game based around a prison break. That's sure to have some great puzzles. I'm surprised no one has done that before.

The 3d characters don't look even remotely as good as the 2d ones in their other games. I think this game would have looked even better in 2d

I bet it's a Unity game. Also the character art has a very "TellTale" look about it.

Green balls, isn't that something you get when they send you away to rot in a dark damp cell :)

Good to see another promising adventure game. Definitely at least wishlisting this one.

It's not only breaking out, you will also play the female counterpart outside the prison.
The puzzles can be hard sometime.
It's always good to see a Daedalic first day release, the only Daedalic title I'm aware of that isn't here (other than hidden objects games) is 'Journey of a Roach'

Seem a bit conspicuous by its absence though - what's the deal there? Is it just not considered good enough a game?
