Best. Cover. Art. Ever.

7th Legion, a futuristic real-time strategy game with a great selection of units to lead into battle over the course of 35 extensive and challenging missions, is available on GOG.com for only $5.99.

Centuries of reckless consumption and overpopulation had brought the Earth's ecosystem to the brink of collapse. In desperation, governments of the world developed an interstellar Evacuation Program granting exit passes only to the most privileged segments of society. The poor and common were left behind to perish. Now centuries later, the "Chosen" have decided to return to Earth and assume control. But there's a catch - the 7th Legion is waiting with a powerful and fiery "welcome home" BBQ planned in their honor.

7th Legion is an excellent RTS title featuring endless strategic choices and timed sub-missions in a futuristic war-torn world. You get to play command either the 7th Legion or the Chosen in over 35 feverish finger-blistering combat missions. Over 50 Battle Cards and 20 power-ups may instantly turn the tide of battle. Progressive technology levels reveal advanced buildings, units and weapons. Ruthless mercenaries get smarter as they collect mutilated bodies for cold hard cash. The game comes with a full MP3 soundtrack!

Even though it did sport the most awesome game cover art of the 1990s, 7th Legion--released a little bit after Command and Conquer: Red Alert-- was overlooked by many strategy fans. If you had the misfortune of being one of them, or if you do remember 7th Legion fondly, get it now on GOG.com for only $5.99!
I'd pick any of the Roger Dean covers over this game's cover.

Anyway, that says a lot about the game when the blurb only talks about how good the cover art is and mentions nothing of the game itself...

Wow, Tommo is on a roll! Funny thing is that, yesterday I was looking at this game on Mobygames and thinking "Hey, that looks cool. How did I miss it?"
Never heared about this one but looks interesting and is nice to see another Epic title here, hope to see the older titles from the shareware era
Go TOMMO! :-D

Wishlisted for now - waiting for Friday to make my purchasing decisions.

EDIT: I REALLY like that tank on 3rd screen...

Ahah! The hint exposed some days ago was true not only for the previous week (Red Faction) but this week too! :D
Wow this will make some folks happy! The enigmatic hint the other week had some people thinking this was the game and it ended up being Red Faction...or was it? Maybe it's the reason there wasn't a hint this past weekend since I it could've gone either way :) (you clever enigmatic people you!)

Now people will be asking for Z, but this looks really neat!

RTS? Not interested.
But Epic Megagames.....i want Ken, Epic Pinball and Jazz Jackrabbit...any chance to get them on GOG?
I sure remember this one fondly, I have the disc, very nice to have the option to own a usable copy of this game again.
Nice Release. I haven't heard of this game before, wishlisted for now.
Great release! Thank you GOG and Tommo. One of my favorite RTS games is finally here!
Odd, the game rings a bell, yet it doesn't? The good news is I like retro RTS, so I presume I might like this game.
I remember when this came out. I always wanted to play this game.
Nice release

Note - the one review i can see for it on GOG probably isnt by someone who actually bought it here....
Neat. Haven't ever played it and only heard about it because some GOGer kept mentioning it over and over recently. Looks interesting.
