Great story, great graphics, great puzzles--all you need from a point-and-click.

A New Beginning - Final Cut, a cinematic adventure thriller done graphic novel-style, is available for $4.99 until January 3 2013, or 75% off, which is $2.49, in today's End of the World Sale.

In 500 years the Earth will be uninhabitable due to climatic changes (supposing it doesn't end on Friday). Survival will be only possible in secluded subterranean locations. The magnetic field of the planet is close to breaking down. Solar activity might end all life as we know it.
You're Fay, radio operator sent from the dark future to the XX-th Century to prevent the climatic change and save the world. All other teams sent from 2500 have failed. With help of eco-engineer Bent Svensson you need to avoid the catastrophe, while also stopping Salvador, another time traveller who's willing to do anything to make sure that the future as he--and you--know it will occur.

Daedalic Entertainment knows how to make excellent adventures, and the warm reception of Deponia or The Whispered World from our users only proves that when it comes to cinematic point-and-clicks, the german publisher is the go-to guy. A New Beginning - Final Cut follows the tradition with gorgeously detailed hand-drawn locations, animated cutscenes, and an excellent narrative taking on the contemporary issue of global warming. If you're looking for a great story with some classic puzzles and high production value, A New Beginning is a title you should pick up immediately. The game price is set to $9.99, however, only at GOG.com, the game is available right now 75% off when bought in the Daedalic Adventures Bundle along with the aforementioned games, Edna & Harvey, and Dark Eye: Chains of Satinav.
Wow, the best day of Christmas sale so far!
Awesome!

Wow. Completely forgotten about this and it pops up today. A sign, definitely a sign. Grabbing. Thankyouwhoosh~
Well, my collection has swelled to 150+ titles since the start of these deals.

I think I'm done.

Kinda makes me feel like I blew all my chips at once, though, considering there's still two weeks of daily deals left.

I'm also fast becoming in need of more space; looking to drop some money for another external hard drive.

Have heard very good things about this and very nice to see it in the Christmas sale on the day it's released.

Unfortunately, my backlog is just too big right now but.......it is going on my wish list as I want this later when I actually have time to play it :)

Awesome addition GOG.
Personally, I think this release is a lot more exciting than all the "buy a bunch of games you don't want for 75% off" sales, especially considering it's only $4.99 and comes with the soundtrack and lots of multi-language support, including original voiceovers. Kudos to Daedalic and GOG for this one! Who knows, maybe it will even console me with the fact that Deponia 2 is still not on sale, even this close to the end of the world. ;)

Thank you so much to the incredibly kind person who just gifted this game to me.

You are an absolute stud, you made my day and made me cry (yep, I cry easily :)

Soooooo excited as I've wanted this game since I saw it on GG a while ago, but wanted to wait to see if it showed up on GOG.

God I love GOG-ers :)
Hahaha, I told you!!! :D I knew this was one of the final releases of 2012. :)
I had the game on dvd(with drm) but bought it again for the gog version.

I am curious though, GOG staffers, what does "Final Cut" entail? Is there more content in this version than the original release?
I would love to play this but my backlog is huge. Wishlist for now
Great release. Instant buy and for this price I'm picking up a few copies to gift as well!

According to developer's website, Final Cut should add this:
There are now 7 Localizations. German, English, French and Russian is included fully localized and you can add Italian, Spanish and Polish subtitles. Last but not least we were able to make the Final Cut more stabilized and a lot of bugs and errors just left our universe forever.
+ Mac version and achievements for Steam

Agreed. Still a very nice price at only half off.
