So, does anybody know what's going with the other games that got taken down from GOG? Obviously the two Codemaster racers are obvious. But what about Second Sight? Revolution? Obscure? Cryostasis? Space Rangers?

they go down for licencing issues and crap. Nobody knows if they'll come back. Makes me a sad pineapple for second sight...
XIII was removed as well. Which sucks, because it's a pretty solid FPS. Oh well, I've still got my GameCube copy...
I expect GOG to inform in advance, as well as refund games that are completely removed.

That's not always possible.

If you bought it, you're safe...

Those who bought the games and had them on their accounts are still able to download them. There were a couple of glitches, but in these cases the games were restored to users' accounts.

Gift codes, on the other hand, are a different matter. I've been hearing that gift codes expire when the game is removed.

No need to refund because games you bought remain in your shelf. They're just not sold anymore.

At least that's how it happened so far.

So far there has only been only one game where the Mac version was permanently removed. The reason was that the port was done by a porting company and the developer never had the rights to hand the Mac version to GoG, so Gog never had the right to sell the game to begin with. I can't remember which game exactly it was, but the people who bought it did receive a refund.

So far this has been the only case of removing a game completely, but it makes sense considering GOG never had the rights to sell it in the first place.

The Dark Fall games were taken down due to some weird licensing dispute - the company that signed with GOG thought they acquired the rights through purchasing another company that went under, but the games' creator claims that other company was selling them without permission, thus the purchaser can't sell them and neither can GOG... or something. A post by the creator on Facebook a few months back suggested that they're working things out, but I haven't heard anything since then.

As far as I know that list is complete.

cool list would be nice if there was an explanation if possible so one would know if there ever was a possibility for the game to return (crosses fingers for Revolution)
Ouch. After the kind service that GOG provides, to get the chain yanked like that.
Shame I missed Second Sight, but I probably would have never played it anyway.

Licensing agreements are annoying.
I should have bought XIII when it was still on the site. Oh well.
Wow.. Didnt realise the DarkFall games had been yanked off :S Weirdly they are still across GamersGate so unsure whats happened.
It would be nice if GOG could always give a big shoutout whenever these things happen XD
