Why did it disappear from steam? Or perhaps why would it disappear from here?

tarangwydion: I wish one can save the game anytime anywhere, but it is not too frustrating either. A hidden gem, I must say.
Same here.

Who knows for sure, but I guess it could be for similar reasons as why Space Rangers games disappeared, or many others.

GOG's/Codemasters' little ploy eventually worked, they just managed to lure me into buying some of the Codemasters games from GOG (without discount): Second Sight, Soldiers, I.G.I. 2 (debatable) and Perimeter. I was supposed to get those four games at some point anyway. $40... I use much more for gasoline on my car every week! And at least the games are guaranteed and supported DRM-free.

Skipped: 1nsane I already have on retail, and I don't care about Sensible Soccer 200x.

Hmm, a good game but I have it on Gamecube and feel that it's more of a console game anyway.
I remember that promo.. It was one of those "increasing percentage off" kind of promos and, blinded by greed with no regard to my self-respect, I added Sensible Soccer 2006 - a $9.99 game I wouldn't touch with ten-foot pole (soccer is an abomination) - to save a couple of bucks on the order total. I wasn't too sure about Second Sight either as I've never been one for (3rd person) shooters, but I was totally blown away by it when I finally played it.

Second Sight has helped me tremendously with getting over the feeling of shame and uncleanliness caused by SS2006 defiling my GOG shelf. Whenever I feel like sitting curled up in a dark room, gently rocking back and forth because of this fatal lack of integrity, I play through Second Sight - it works wonders.
Looks interesting, but I don't have to have every game that interests me. Plenty of other games to play if this does get removed.
Played it on a console; it was pretty fun. Seem to have bought it from GOG at some point, but haven't tried the PC version yet.
We confirm that some legal issues have arisen with Second Sight. This has caused some of the other retailers to already remove the game from their offer. We're investigating this matter now, but it is likely that tomorrow we'll have to take down the sales page for Second Sight as well. If this happens we will do our best to re-include that great sci-fi paranormal thriller in GOG.com catalogue. As for now, we operate under the assumption that these are the final hours we can offer you this great game in our usual DRM-free, goodie-filled package. It's very probable that you'll continue to be able to download Second Sight from the catalog for the forseeable future--but if you're the belt and suspenders type, you might want to make sure you've got a backup stored locally, just in case.

Damn it, I hoped I'd be able to buy it during the weekend sale. Oh well, thank you for the warning, you just got yourself a sale.
Thank God I had installed on Steam then

You know, they de-listed it from sale there, too. :P

He's glad he has it installed since he's not sure if he'll be able to download it again from Steam :P
P.S. Did you try the XCOM Demo yet?

How can I trust a man that doesn't trust his belt?
So, how many games have Codemasters not completely fucked up licensing-wise?
