I used to have this problem.

Is it anxiety? Are you drinking a lot of caffeine later in the day?

i got social anxiety problems which i am hoping to get something for. caffeine not as much as i used to. slowly starting to move onto water.

i just lay there and no sleep. hours pass and still no sleep. yet i feel like a zombie im weak and tired. i dont like sleeping meds at all. So dont want those.

I wouldn't use alcohol or drugs to fall asleep; you could become overly reliant on them. The best sleeping aid is routine. Go to sleep at the same time every day and turn off all electronic distractions (TV, computer) half an hour before bedtime because their light keeps the drowsiness away. If you're into ASMR, that can also be of great help. :)

If you're seeing a doctor for social anxiety, ask them about medication called Quetiapine, also called Seroquel, I once had pretty bad problems sleeping and that medication pretty much ended it.
melatonin supplements could be useful. you could also eat more tryptophan foods.

eat a big breakfast to firm up your circadian rhythms.
Same here, dont drink, seriously what a shitty advice, that and using drugs (like clonazepam)
Dont ever depend on drugs or achohol to do something.
dont drink coffee it makes it a lot worse.
Before going to bed do something that really relax you ...like listening to chill music or watch something that you really like but is relaxing (for me is watching the simpsons :P) maybe read a book too.

My honest advice would be to avoid meds altogether. Try to be active doing something, that will cause both your body and mind to be tired at the end of the day. Wake up at a decent hour too. Even on days you don't need to.

As for social, force yourself into situations, even if it just means talking to someone you don't know at random once a day. For me, it especially helped doing this with girls.

Hope that advice helps.
thanks guys for the quick replys. i willl try what you guys recommended

This is perhaps the worst advice I've seen, if someone has social anxiety then forcing themselves into social situations without using any medication is like repeatedly smashing your head into a wall, it will solve nothing and actually make it worse. He needs to see a doctor.

Wait a minute here... are you actually so socially awkward that you aren't able to go to a grocery store and buy a can of soda and say "Hi" to a cute check-out girl once a day?

I don't mean that in an insulting way, I'm honestly asking it as a question.
Melatonin could help a bit.

Earplugs are great too. They take getting used to... & you might pull them out in your sleep first week or two, but I've found them to be very helpful.
