I like a lot of adventure games but the most memorable one for me was the first gabriel knight because it has quite a deep intricate story based on real world history and occult and it was one of the very first games that's game mechanics weren't about senseless kleptomania and nonsensical combinations of stuff and you actually had to think a bit more detective-style to solve the rather logical puzzles in this game.

And it has a brilliant voiceacting
Not in, but a +1 for the great giveaway!

One of my favourite adventure games is Suspended from Infocom. Text-only and hard as nails, it not only required you to conceptualise the whole complex where the game takes place, but to process the very different senses of the various robots you controlled. I've seldom encountered another game that demanded so much imaginative flexibility from the player.

Not in, since I'm no steam user and don't need Chains of Satinav.

Now that's a hard one. I usually don't have "a favourite" of this or that, since it really depends on the mood.

But I think a game that I really look forward to playing with my children when they're old enough is Loom. It was is a close tie with The Secret of Monkey Island, but in the end Loom is just a bit more - special.

This is a real magical game. If anytime Disney has decided that they defiled LucasAnything's corpse enough and maybe lets GOG get it, it would be an instabuy. At $40 if it be so. Even 40€.
It's a game about growing up and learning something about the world. It's a game about imagination. And about music and the magic of music. It's the first game I played where I shed tears. At the end. For joy, because it was beautiful, and for sadness, because it was over. I played though this multiple times, and always touches me to no end.

And for adventure gamers out there: All puzzles are totally fair, since I could beat it without any help (there was no internet).
I've always enjoyed the Sierra On-Line adventure games. They were my childhood bread and butter. But thinking back to an adventure game that I really enjoyed, I would have to mention Journeyman Project 2.

I found it to be very immerse. Going to different locales while also going forwards/backwards through time was a lot of fun. It's been nearly 20 years since I've last played it, but it still stands out as one of my most favorite adventure games. Although it's in my GOG library, I have yet to replay it for fear it would tarnish my fondest memories.

Interesting side note, I never played Journeyman Project 1 or 3.

EDIT: Not in, but +1 for your kind generosity.

I love Syberia series ( have them on GOG, so you can guess that i don't want them on Steam, too ). I loved Kate's evolution from the city lawyer with a cra..y boyfriend to the adventuress that she became. It was unexpected.

Kate seemed so boring initially. And yet, she becomes a very strong and interesting character. The whole atmosphere of the game asks for strong alcohol ( vodka would go nicely ). You will cringe at some points, will even shed a tear of two. Benoit Sokal proved that his storytelling can be done in videogames, too, especially when the games are supporting the writing that well. What I'd like to see?! Definitely Kate kicking her ex arse. As for improvement, you can hardly bring something new to the genre, so if ain't broken why fix it?!

In for Deponia, as i don't have that one.
In for Dark Eye.

My favorite adventure games would have to be Beavis and Butt-head Virtual Stupidity, Willy Beamish, and the Simpsons Virtual Springfield. Those games were the best adventure games I ever played, and I hope they all come to gog, although Willy Beamish is the only one that has a realistic chance.

Sure, just post something about your favourite adventure game. ;)
In for 1953- KGB Unleashed and +1 for the giveaway.

I love a lot of adventure games, but my favorite (one of them, it switches a lot) is King's Quest V. Being a huge Sierra homer stuff like dead ends didn't bother me and I never found the puzzles to be as nonsensical as some claimed., but I just found the atmosphere to be so engaging and the story/action was like the epitome of "adventure gaming" to me. Beautiful artwork with King Graham traveling from forest to village to desert to snowy mountain to sea to the dark wizard's castle to save his family. As a kid that was just perfect and while it may not be the best adventure game ever (its better than many think imo, most would say VI is better than V), its still a favorite.

Honorable Sierra mention would be Space Quest III, with other favorites being Blade Runner, Star Trek 25th Anniversary, the best LucasArts games... I could go on and on.

Have you played Rise of the Dragon or Heart of China?
Not in but thanks for the generous giveaway! Nice to see point and click adventures being offered as prizes.
I would like to be in for Deponia.

For point-and-click adventures I usually prefer something with a lot of comedy. My favourite I think was "Rex Nebular and the Cosmic Gender Bender." I have not played it in years (decades!), and would love to have it come to GOG :)! The most recent adventure game I played was "Beneath a Steel Sky", which was a lot of fun.

No, Stellar 7 is the only other Dynamix game I've ever played, even though it wasn't an adventure game.
I'm in for The Dark Eye: Chains of Satinav

my favourite Adventure game Is Sam & Max Hit the Road. because it has an excellent plot, It is quite comical, there is no complicated puzzles. well I really love every adventure game when the plot is good, but I hate complicated puzzles. for this Reason I loved Dracula Series, Gabriel Knight and Syberia too. one of the only games I remember which I really suffer for it's intricate puzzles and kept me very interested until the end is the longest journey, I almost throw the game out the window, how the hell was I to know that blowing up a rubber duck, It was getting at the other side of city! >:C
