Hawk52: Terraria isn't all roses though. Multiplayer is broken by all accounts, and won't even work unless you use LAN (or LAN emulation software). On top of that, the guide character, while a good idea is a sonofabitch who'll wander around, open doors, and in general do everything in his power to make your life hell. He's immortal (or exceedingly hard to kill), so he doesn't care at all if he lets zombies or demon eyes into your home. In a multiplayer game with a friend, we ended up trapping him in one section of our house to keep him from screwing everything up.
Didn't hear about/notice any problems with Internet multiplayer, I hosted a game with two other friends over the Internet yesterday and we had an euphoric blast for several hours - there is a known crash when you hit back on the Options screen after changing resolution or something, and there was a Windows DEP warning thing as I exit the server instance of the game at the end of the night, but besides that and a little bit of lag, multiplayer worked just fine. A lot better than Minecraft's initial implementation of multiplayer, and nothing crashed or gave any other problem through the evening.
And yeah we dug a hole below our floor, waited until the guy wandered in, then sealed him in with stone. :P He did manage to teleport out though the same time that our shopkeeper NPC finally arrived.
