Dear GOG Users!
First of all, on behalf of the whole GOG team I'd like to thank you very much for your support and all positive comments we have received in so many posts. This really makes us believe that we do the right thing and gives us even more power and motivation to continue our way of bringing classic games with 100% DRM-free policy.
Second thing is, that if you are happy about what we offer here, please help to spread the word about GOG in other places. We do our best to be visible in as many places as we can, but our efforts have their limits, as there are not as many people working on GOG communication across the web as we'd like (actually two guys, Vandal and me).
Please do not treat it as a request, or something that we expect you to do. No... We just say, help us if you really feel (from deep inside) comfortable with it, and if you think that GOG is worth your help.
Once again, thank you everyone!
And have fun!

Game Informer is where I heard about GOG, too. Looking forward to many hours of gaming nostalgia. I just became a fan on Facebook.
This is the proper way to stop piracy: have the games drm free and cheap.
I also read the article in Game Informer about GOG, and that's what led me to create an account. I think it's awesome that I can play games I played years ago and also play things I never got the chance to play before.

I doubt it'll stop piracy. But GOG offers a far better service than the vast majority of "abandonware" sites, providing fantastic old games in a (usually ;) ) playable state on modern operating systems, with all the information you might have expected the original game to come with (including necessary copy protection codes, manuals, etc - and occasionally even extras like soundtracks) at an entirely reasonable price. It also hooks you up with a community of like minded gamers who also want to play these classic games,
Love it, 10 games in already, thanks especially for Empire Earths... MORE RTS!
Keep up the good work... you wouldn't believe the stack of cd's I have sitting here (C&C Generals, RON, AOK) that I've decided not to play until they're on GOG so I can buy them again and play without a CD, hassle free, legally. I know we won't get them all, but hey, Empire Earth 2 made my year already!
I am quite amazed at not only the simplicity of the website, the pricing of the games, but also the content. Knights and Merchants? Who the heck sells KaM anymore? Great stuff GoG! Keep up the good work. I will go to you all anytime before I wait upon torrents or rapid-sharing. AND ITS LEGAL!
Game Informer for me as well! I tell everyone about this site, even non-dorks!!! :P

All I do is buy games from here now. With this economy in the USA going down the drain (insert vicious politics here) GOG has become the new big box retailer for games that are $5.99 and $9.99. I live from paycheck to paycheck and I cannot afford those high priced games in the $39 ~ $49 range.
Me and a couple of friends just want to tell you guys how much we actually love your work.
It is fantastic to be able to play all the old goodies once again, the ones some of us spent a part of our youth to abuse and play way to much.
Your service and customer suport is completely spotless.
Your prices are able to compete with any other company i can think of.
We have bought 28 games to our account so far (it was started 19 days ago) and we will keep on buying them, not only for the nostalgia but allso because we want to suport you guys in your endeavors, and we feel you should be getting something out of giving all of these awesome games for us.
We will allso do our absolute best to spread the word about gog.com both over the internet and allso by word, this is too good to miss to be honest.
Best regards: Mikael and friends from sweden :)
Edit: 34 games now :P

I`m equaly grateful for GOG. Its a great site, with fair priced games. I also think you hit the nail on the head with these discounts you are offering once in a while and great free games like Beneath a steel sky. The only thing that is missing is full Win 7 support, which is quite a shame because its popular. Now if you could just add that and Master of Orion 2 (getting scrolling in tactical battle working correctly is impossible) and i will be really happy :)
Hell of a site. I found it from game informer. I used to download these old games from torrents and such because there was no where else to get them. I am happy to pay for greats like Gabriel Knight and Tex Murphy. So thank you for letting me play these games again from my childhood from one easy place for an extremely reasonable price. I will spread the word to all I know.
Now the great games of all time have a place to call home and forever live on.
I'm a moderator at another site that has a lot of game fans, so I make it my duty to often mention GOG. Often the conversation turns to 'the good old days of gaming', so I say that people should get their asses over to GOG and if possible, add to the wishlist. :)
Hell, you brought me Sanitarium, a game that I had been looking for for ages, and as soon as I have a spare few quid I'll buy all the remaining Tex Murphy and Gabriel Knight games I don't have.
I'll ask one thing, I know that some people have said that there have been a high proportion of adventures, but personally I'd prefer a good mix of them, RPG's and simulators as these genres get a lot less releases in the current market than FPS's. That's not to say I begrudge these being released of course as we're all fans of different things. Here's hoping the co-operation with Activision brings forth Spycraft-The Great Game.
Long may GOG continue.

This is my second day as a member, just bought Heroes of Might and Magic 3 and Rise of the Triad: Dark Wars and are LOVING THEM. It is so amazing what you guys do here for these gems of games. I am already telling everyone I know about this site and the good work that is done here. All because of that GameInformer interview!
Probably next on my list is the Gabriel Knights and Arcanum. It is so nice to be able to play these and not have to worry about Vista throwing a temper tantrum about it. This is my new PC game store, you have found a long time customer. Now I can't wait till you guys port DEUS EX! Haha.
KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK!

I think it's great that there is a website out here in the wide ol' web, that offers all the great games that I grew up on legally and fairly priced. Cause yeah I could go to a torrent site and get these games free, but if I get them here I don't feel all sticky and I also don't have to fear the S.W.A.T team that will someday soon be kicking down my door. Thanks GOG.com.
Keeping us gamers out of jail out of the goodness of their heart.
