Niggles: Sounds like a bit of backlash there. They also probably chose the wrong bundle to go into (either HB or Groupees would have been better if charity was there main aim
Psyringe: The devs of Interstellar Marines posted a
"Post Mortem of a PR Disaster" on Gamasutra. Worth reading and watching if you're interested in a peek behind the curtain. It illustrates problems that (I guess) many indie devs are facing when going into a bundle for the first time, caused by inexperience and lack of information.
That was a very fascinating read! It's interesting to me how many devs are lacking in solid business management - i.e. especially contracts and accounting. Any amount of research would have netted them information on how IG does their Happy Hours (usually 6 or more hours long and multiple times) and that they frequently extend bundles beyond the stated expiry date. Those things could easily have been included in the contract.
But what is more astounding, is the lack of inclusion of all staff when deciding to make this kind of move. Your people on the ground are the best source of information - and hey, you're already paying for that intel.
Anyway, thanks for the link!
