Looks good I had my worries with Ken Brannagh directing but Odin, Thor, Loki and the Destroyer look pretty good so far.
Hell, that Branagh was involved was one of the things that made me hopeful about this game.
I don't know. Natalie Portman has one good movie to her name, and it wasn't because of her performance. And it is really jarring to go from such a dramatic scene to him going "Oh, no, this is Earth isn't it?" like someone just drank his last beer. I don't know, I hope it's good, but some of this is making me cautious.

Yeah, Branagh has a wonderful record making GAMES. :)

I'm a tool. I'm going to sit through all the Marvel movies like a good little boy in order to watch Avengers. I've bought the DVD's also. So far they have been doing really well as a movie studio.
Why are some of these norse Gods black, asian looking? Not that I particularly mind but this just strikes me as odd. Never read the comics, maybe it was explained there?

EDIT: Ok, looks like I'm not the only one...

Natalie Portman is getting rave reviews and is considered a front runner for the Oscar for her performance in "The BLack Swan".

You can't blame Portman entirely for her performance in the Star Wars Prequels. NO actress could have done well with the terrible dialogue that Lucas wrote for her.

We have to be all multikult in this day and age or it wouldn't be politically correct.
Just out? I saw this trailer a few months ago. They didn't even change it after it was leaked out...odd.

Anyways, it looks like crap. As if SyFy made it. The actor fits the role, but everything else looks very typical. In other words, we all know he will not be "Thor" til the very end of the movie when he is "worthy" to release the Hammer from the rock.

Typical, and uninspiring storyline.

Ok, the norse Gods are politically correct then? Very considerate of them. :P

Kingpin was black in Daredevil movie. So yeah Marvel realized they're too 1-sided

I wonder if Captain America was made black. How politically correct would that be?

This May? Oh good I better go get the DVD

Well, you see I can understand that (and Michael Clarke Duncan is very awesome!) and see no problem with that... it's just that if you tap old mythologies you shouldn't change stuff too much. Those are divinities adored by scandinavians... vikings. Big white blond/ginger guys with lots of hair and manliness. Just saying. (Ok, I might be the exception :P)

Marvel is a mythology :P

I doubt scandinavians/viking fans are of much concern for whoever are making the film. It's much more important to please the american minorities. Nowadays every movie needs the compulsory black dude

Plus that trailer didn't scream Thor to me in other ways either. Thor is a big bulky super strong god, not a nimble ninja although in some parts of the trailer he looks like one

What if we remade roots with a white guy playing Kunta Kente? Or does it only work one way?
My spider senses are tingling.
