Well after the epic Holiday songs contest, we’re still chanting Activision carols here at the office but time goes on and a new contest is beginning!

As we’ve mentioned before, there are more than 350 games for sale for less than $5. A lot of you may not be familiar with our catalog, so we thought we’d hold a few contests to help you learn about the great games that GOG.com has available on sale right now. A week ago we’ve picked winners of the Caption Contest.

This time GOG.com is partnering up with the creators of , the famous Heroes of Might and Magic and the Might and Magic RPGs to bring you a new contest: Ubisoft New Years Resolutions!

Write us a New Year’s resolution as if you were a Ubisoft character, and post it in comments to this thread or the Facebook post ;) So Rayman might want to grow a joint between his hands and his torso, and Pey'j from beyond good and evil would probably want to lose some weight. You get the idea. ;)

We’re ending this contest on Tuesday 27th of December at 11:59 AM GMT ;) We will pick some of the most funny, thoughtful, or entertaining entries and call them winners shortly after the contest ends.

Happy Holidays to all!
I, Gelu of the Erathian Forest Guard, resolve to:
- stop stop keeping world-shattering blades for myself
-NOT proceed to destroy my homeworld with said blade and drag my producer and publisher into the grave.
- magically find a way to appear in the next Heroes game.
- ressurect NWC and 3DO since these "YouBuySoft" people obviously have no idea what they're doing.
- stay away from Tarnum, as I'd hate to hear his "I told you so." in several different Antagarichan languages.
I, XIII (or Steve Roland, or... dang, I forgot again), resolve to finally come out in the sequel everyone's been waiting for.
I hope. :(
I, Eddie Riggs, promise to... Oh wait, that's right, you didn't want me, did you?
I resolve to figure out what my sequel would have been called if I had ever been given the chance to make it - XIII
I resolve to become the greatest diplomat ever to not kill any litle creature ever again. And try to build one more floor of mage guild to find a spell which turns every single war-hungry hero to peace.
We, rightful Heir to the Throne of Erathia, shall unite all barbarians, necromancers, wizards, rangers, rogues, sea monsters and wild beasts of Our lands under Our Gryphonheart Banner.
Local heroes shall be recruited at the nearest tavern.
Attention: there might be dragons.
I, Bob Nezhad Alladin, known better as the Prince of Persia hereby promise that if I don't want to lose my friends and die alone as a miserable old man, I will stop using the Sands of Time irresponsibly for my own amusement. In particular:
* I will stop jumping in bullet time pretending I'm Max Payne
* I will stop freezing time and swapping my friends' clothes (and no more "hey, where's your pants?" jokes!)
* I will stop answering all questions in mid sentence after hearing them and rewinding time
* I will no longer time-forward whenever someone wants something from me
* I won't ever again put a banana skin on the stairs and rewind time each five seconds for half an hour when somebody slips on it

My new year's resolution is to phone home.

Sincerely, E.T.
We, the spellcasters of Heroes of Might and Magic 3, resolve to stop exploiting our spellcasting abilities by:

using expert 'berserk' on our opponents' largest armies only to giggle like schoolgirls as we watch them shred each other to bits

once there's only one unit left, using 'blind' each round and turning this battle into a spectator sport for the opponent, ironic huh?

going into battle with a fire immune unit and using 'Armageddon'....you say you had an army there a minute ago? what army?

using a 'force field' to prevent bigger enemy units from getting at our single hex units...which happen to be archers....and yes...that's an ammo cart....also behind a 'force field'...

using expert 'dimension door' to get anywhere in one turn....yeah, that's right...don't EVER leave your castles

or really just going back to basics and buffing up our armies with everything we have...if that group of imps with 'prayer,' 'bloodlust,' 'shield,' and 'slayer' took out half your dragons, just imagine what the pit lords will do...

yeah...that's right, we wont do ANY of that...you believe us...you really do...'hypnotize' what? were these your Hydras?
I, Christian the Knight, promise to learn Expert Town Portal like any sane hero would in an XL map.
i,head of ubisoft, will fix the horrible attack system of Assassin's Creed series
I've been waiting 28 years for revenge, and another 4 to come to GoG.

(The Kid, Driver Parallel Lines)
I, the white knight of Chessmaster 9000, do solemnly resolve to win the heart of the fair Black Queen this year. She is such a beautiful woman and deserves far better that despot she's yoked to.
I, the Prince of Persia, promise to stop living in the past.
I, Prince of Persia, promise to try my best to keep my shirt on throughout an entire adventure. I'll be honest, I'm a little terrified I'm the one sending the message its ok to take it off for apparently no reason to that werewolf...
