I read somewhere in this forum, 3 weeks back, that the first week will have AWESOME new games. Has any blue name confirmed that? Or was it speculation?

So Once again, GOG uses "Social Media" and does not notify of anything on it's own website

It kind of sucks that it's on twitter and not here. But from not seeing anything released this week, it's a "no brainer" that the earliest new releases will be is next week.

This really is the kind of thing that is by far best suited for Twitter. I mean come on! You want a front page announcement that there will be no promo this weekend??

They can always make a sticky here in the forum for news that isn't frontpage news

I'm no expert on these things, but if they like to use Twitter for smaller announcements, wouldn't it be possible to include a window with a Twitter feed on the GOG frontpage or something? Or at least make a sticky for minor announcements here in the forums?

Anyway, I'm curious, will GOG get back to the old release/announcement schedule (12 noon GMT) or permanently keep the one from the promo (3 p.m. GMT)?

The website is the first place anybody is going to look for information/announcments/news. Users are here. The community is here. The forums are here. Why use Twitter? Sure, it's good as a secondary/backup place for announcements or for getting attention of new potential customers. I mean come on! They have entire website with forums to communicate with us.

Well no, but how about saying something to the effect of 'first promo of the year on such-and-such-a-date' *Kermit-like flail*? Not all of us use twitter and like people are saying, the community is here.
