GOG loves D&D

The Best of The Best. Unrivaled Champions of the genre. Nine of the Greatest. The Supreme Achievement of isometric era. Matchless. Perfect. 11 out of 10. Yes, you've guessed it--we're talking about D&D RPGs. From now until Friday, September 21 at AM 9:59 GMT [url=http://www.gog.com/en/promo/hasbro_stacking_promo/]you can buy fantastic Hasbro RPGs from the world of Dungeons and Dragons up to 65% off! If by some terrible twist of fate you didn't have the chance to add all of those Diamonds to your collection, now is a chance to correct this terrible injustice. Let's take a peek into the treasury, shall we?

In the center of our D&D chamber we've got the iconic Baldur’s Gate: The Original Saga and Baldur’s Gate II: Complete that collectively received over 10 “Best game of the year” awards from publications such as PC Gamer, Eurogamer, Computer Games Magazine and IGN. And in the cold, ice-filled corner there's the Icewind Dale and Icewind Dale 2 series that brought the D&D license to a more combat-oriented RPG gaming. The strange shimmering light comes from the inter-dimensional portal where Planescape: Torment resides. Winner of multiple RPG and Game of the Year awards in 1999, it is widely considered as one of the best storytelling RPGs in gaming history.
The treasure chamber wouldn't be complete without Neverwinter Nights--a game with a great single player campaign that offers even greater multiplayer experience and modding capabilities. This game is literally one you could play the rest of your life, if you were determined to get through every single user-created campaign or keep attending a multi-player server. And don't forget about the somewhat underrated gems in the collection! Dungeons & Dragons: Dragonshard is a fascinating blend of RPG and RTS. Forgotten Realms: Demon Stone is an action RPG with some interesting tactical elements to go along with the usual hack and slash of the genre. Finally, Temple of Elemental Evil, one of the tougher tactical RPGs ever--so hard that it balances on the fine edge of fairness.

A short news post like this is not nearly enough to give justice to each single D&D Diamond available in this promo. And because GOG staff loves D&D so much we are going to tell you about our personal experiences with those games throughout the week, starting tomorrow. But enough talk! Let the D20s roll! Visit the promo page to complete your collection of Diamonds of D&D!

DProject: OMG Thank you GOG! I had been waiting for a D&D promo a long time, since the last time you had it, I was stupid and only bought IWD2. Too bad I already bought IWD1 about a week ago, but there's at least three games still in there that I'll definitely get once I get back home!

AFnord: I hope two of those are Planescape: torment & Temple of elemental evil.
Actually, Baldur's Gate 1 and 2 & Temple of Elemental Evil. Donations are welcome. :)
I thought gog had moved beyond the buy-them-all for the best deal approach, but sadly it has not.

Too bad as I see a couple titles to add to the ones I already own from gog, but it is a no go at less than 50% off.
I saw the word "Diamonds" and you had my full attention.

I need to lay off the Minecraft.
Great promo but I snagged them at last Christmas sale. :)

and still I've only finished Planescape Torment. I was about to try Temple of Elemental Evil with Circle of Eight mod but I got somewhat discouraged because of the brutal difficulty.
This is AMAZING. Just a week ago I was wondering if there ever was/will be a Baldur's Gate or Planescape: Torment sale. I was even thinking of buying them off some site on the web for 12,95€.

You really made my day GOG, wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!

PS: Holy hell, this means I can play these classics starting today, goodbye sleep!

And if someone would be kind enough to tell me: Are there enough easter eggs/references to Salvatore's Drizzt books (or similiar) that to get full experience I should read the books before playing Baldur's Gate?
PM me or something, you'd really make me happy(-i-er).

G-Doc: Yes. We announced it on FB, Twitter and GOG.com forums.
Guess I should really check FB more often... well, at least I can honestly say that I wouldn't have had the slightest chance winning it. ^^
If you did this sale next week it would have been an exact year since the last time.
Got the whole collection then, though oddly it was $0.32 more expensive O_o

I still feel cheated out for Demon Stone. What a piece of sh(mumblemumblegrumble)

You didn't like it? I once had it on PS2, but decided to sell my ps2 and games shortly after, so i didn't properly try it.

But it is something i've been interested in.

What didn't you like about it?
Nice, you own all games from this promo.
Have fun and don't forget to check out our next offer.

damn ...

Allrdy bought the entire collection@the last Promo on D&D (where GOG first introduced the scaling % System).
So im kinda disapointed no nice promo for me this weekend, but my wallet is fine with this
" Nice, you own all games from this promo."
"Nice, you own all games from this promo.", but is a excellent promo.

Now, waiting for a Thief series promo.
Was hoping Arcanum:Of Steamworks and Magic Obscura would show up, since it was published by Hasbro, like Temple of Elemental Evil, even if it didn't have the DnD moniker! Oh well...

Yes, there's really no incentive to buy them like this if you already have many of them elsewhere.
I'm happy when my wallet isn't.

It seems most people around here already owned most of these (and no wonder, given their popularity), so I'm glad that we non-owners weren't forgotten!
