RaggieRags: I wouldn't be surprised if this started as a joke, and some nutjob took it seriously and it ended up in Christian websites.
I remember when Harry Potter was Satan's number 1 plan to corrupt the American youth. The Onion made an "article" in which J.K. Rowling happily tells how well her plan to get children worship Satan has worked. Suddenly we had all these Christian petitions to ban Harry Potter, quoting The Onion as a "trusted newssite" as their information source. Idiots.
That's not even the funniest example I've seen in these extremist Christian websites. There is absolutely no limits to the stupidity of some people. None whatsoever. It's impossible to underestimate them.
*sighs* it is Christians like them that gives us sane ones a bad name but, of course, those nuts are the ones that grab all the attention. Some of those people even scare me with just how zealous they are. Jack Chick is pretty infamous for this, and it wouldn't surprise me if he throws his ore in.
One good thing about The Onion (besides its humor), it is a good way to test a source's reliability. If you see someone quote it as a reliable reference, than you know to take them with a grain of salt.

omg, I'm glad you did. We can't let those ones and zeroes corrupt the youths of America. After all, we must protect the childrens from the greatest threat of all...NERDZ. With their corruptible, satanic powers, who knows what wizardry they put in those games?
