Anyone try and order a game in the last few hours? i'm trying to buy Master of magic and my payment via credit card is being denied. Tried three different cards. I'm getting an error message saying to reenter my info or contact the bank as overseas transactions might be blocked. Called the bank and it's not a problem on my end. I'm from the US by the way. Thanks for any replies.
GOG's transaction... thingy (to use the technical term) is based in cypress which some credit card companies have problems with (have you bought games here with credit cards before?). If it's viable for you, paypal is an easy alternative

Thx for the reply. I bought Master of Orion with no problems using my CC.
I've had the same thing today while trying to buy the Apoogee bundle, called my CC company, and there's no problem with it. Shame, as I wanted to see what Blake Stone was like.
Same thing happened to me just now. Used a Credit Card I have been used and it was declined.
Tommorow I will check with my card company, but I am betting it is the Cyprus issue.
I have a debit card and a credit card from two different companies. My Debit Card I have been unable to use for about 7 months, and if my Credit card is declined because of Cyrpus then I am SOL.
I will send a message to GOG about the Cyprus issue. It is costing them business, and they shoudl look into other places for their servers.
And I cannot use Paypal because my paypal payment option is one of my cards.

Actually, GOG's servers (that host the site/games/forum/whatever) are located in Canada. So really, you should blame Canada!
I meant the servers that are used to process payments;they are in Cryprus.
Have the same problem! Tried to buy Simon the sorcerer.
I have bought games before on gog.com with the exact same card.

Any way of connecting your regular bank account, then using that to transfer funds in to Pay Pal?
Same issue here (US). Attempted to buy Fallout and got the "payment via credit card declined message". If this is indeed due to the stated Cyprus issue, it's that much weirder for my card/bank. For one, I've also successfully bought games from GOG.com with the same card before. Not only that, I've made other overseas orders all the way from regions like the UK and Japan with no trouble.
Seems like this current problem with payment processing is more than just than server location. Maybe I'll try using the PayPal alternative in the meantime.

Hmm. Well, if the past is any indication, all of us US members need to go throw a hissy fit and start saying GoG doesn't care about us and that GoG doesn't want us as fans anymore :P
Seriously though, have you tried to contact support?
Maybe credit card operators decided that cyprus is not trustworthy anymore? Or maybe the cyprus bank that is involved with GOG has some problems...
GOG says that problem is resolved now.

SLP2000: GOG says that problem is resolved now.

Hmmm, It hasn't been redolved for me.
My attempt to purchase some games earlier today was denied. I also used the same credit card to purchase games here in the past.
When I contaced the bank, and they said it was because GOG tried to bill it as a gambling transaction (which is not allowed for my visa gift card). No reply yet from GOG's customer service.
So is buying games from GOG now considered gambling?
