The fact that there's going to be a 3rd Bill and Ted is worrying but I'll try not to pre-judge

I know its not a 3rd in a series but that squeal to American Psycho just popped into my mind - they killed off Patrick Bateman right at the started and then totally John Huges'd it up, it was just strange, maybe if it had been a stand alone film or, like, some kind of sequel to Heathers it might have been alright but trying to be a sequel to American Psycho was just... weird!

mondo84: X-Men 3
This. +1000 this.
Maybe not EVAR, but worth mentioning:

Die Hard 3
Spiderman.

Vengeance Trilogy.

Lethal Weapon.
I loved Pirates of the Caribbean. It had action, humor, special effects and even a bit of story. Part 2 lacked a story, and the humor was less, but it was still okay. But of course, if you watched part 2, you had to watch part 3. Bummer. Worst ever.

I haven't bothered to watch part 4 (although compared to part 3, the only way is up - it cannot be worse than 3, can it?)
Jaws in 3D. Nuff said.
Look Who's Talking Now - pretty bad series, but the third one was 'this time the PETS talk!' Gak!

And, I read about this on cracked:
http://www.cracked.com/article_18413_the-6-baffling-mistakes-every-horror-franchise-must-make_p2.html
But the 3rd Halloween film wasn't even about Michael Myers, but masks that killed people for some reason
Apparently the original idea for Halloween was to have unrelated stories each year like CreepShow or Treehouse of Horros, but whne they came to make the 3rd one they already done 2 Michael Myers films so the audience was confused and angry!

What can I say? We didn't like it. It was okay until the movie got to the water-puzzle thing with the briefcase (if memory serves) and at that point my mind went "Meh". For certain it was no original Die Hard...

No arguement there.

Every sequel to Die Hard was actually made from other scripts where they just changed the characters at the last minute.

Okay my votes:
Starship Troopers 3
Actually, it's hard to tell which was worse, 2 or 3. The CG animated film, Starship Troopers: Invasion was actually okay, all things considered.
And [REC]3: Genesis dropped the ball big time.
smokey and the bandit 3.

and i thought the elephant was bad...
Ace Ventura 3... It is nothing without Jim.
Assuming that the first two have to be considerably better, I can agree with Robocop 3, Terminator 3 and Batman Forever.

I can agree with that, but it beat the second one. I quite liked the second one, but it was nowhere near the first film. The third film was very different. Arguably not even really much of a sequel, but still a damn good film.
Does Predators count as Predator 3 ?
