I would buy every Lucasarts adventure game they put on here, I just think EA is more important for GOG itself.
Call me easy to please, but I'd be more than happy with either.

Both companies have incredible back catalogs. And both are very historically important.

I agree EA is the better bet than LA for the publisher this summer and the more important get for GOG, but for the good old games I'm most interested in owning again, I'd rather have LA. Again that's just in terms of games though both have great back catalogues. I agree EA coming aboard would be amazing for GOG business-wise and probably convince a lot if not all of the remaining holdouts to join including LA.

Now it still might be one of the other "big" publishers, but I'm sticking with my original assessment from the "HUGE publisher" thread that it's EA. They're just so ... huge. :)

Ea is much better for GOG´s future. No doubt about it.
I want EA more. The only Lucas Arts game I want to play is Grim Fandago. Now for EA I want to play most of Origin's games that I never had a chance to buy along with whatever minor gems I missed out on that are in the vast EA vault.
I really only want Lucasarts to get some multiplayer X-Wing vs. TIE Fighter going.

EA have far more games I'd want, like Dungeon Keeper 2, Syndicate Wars, Ultima IX (along with Martian Dreams/Savage Empires as the Ultima games I've not played).

rasufelle: If they do get EA, there are tons of Star Wars licensed titles I would love to have again. Dark Forces, Jedi Knight 1 and 2 (games I never got to play,) Jedi Academy (by far my favorite Star Wars title ever,) Rebel Alliance 1 and 2, TIE fighter, the list goes on.

Why not both?

They would both be important to gog really, having both would be huge because they each have games that appeal and are wanted by a large group of people.

But really, Id be happy with either one myself because they each have games in their vaults Id love to get my hands on.

EA would finanacially probablly be the better bet for gogs future because of the sheer amount of games they hold. At the same time though lucasarts has besides the staples of adventure games, the star wars license and having access to all those star wars games is like having a cash machine in your bedroom.

So either EA or lucasarts gog will win either way because they will get some bank off both but more importantly when you can get someone that big as one of those two signed on with you then that makes other developers much more likely to get on board with you also.
