@hula: I am, believe me. But hey, thanks for the life coaching. lol

The issue is not- whether you can learn it- it's whether it's worth it to do it. I like the world, was looking forward the game, but it's just not fun. You're free to disagree, just don't lecture others about maturity.
It seems like a lot of people don't enjoy the fact that they're challenged and want the difficulty toned down for them. This in turn would ruin the game for a lot of people: the game is easy enough as it is. The beginning is obviously a bit hard but by no means a nightmare.

The problem with this games difficulty is that it goes downhill from chapter1 onwards, only rising up for some specific bossfights, and even those aren't too hard. If anything is corrected about the games difficulty it is that the curve needs to rise steadily towards the end. The beginning can stay as hard as it is now but the difficulty should rise after that, not come crashing down like it does now.

Grokmoo: -When I first played, I picked the most interesting dialog option (the dragon). I was promptly dropped into the interface and burned to death within about 5 seconds of my first time gaining control of my character, before I had even gotten a chance to look around.
-The combat in the tutorial section is just much, much too difficult. You are facing groups of 4+ foes almost immediately, who can cut you down very very quickly.
-There are multiple places in the tutorial where stopping for a few seconds to get acquainted with the interface will get you immediately killed. This is especially bad when the game gives you pop up tutorials in these areas.
-The bombs are effective, but you only get a few of those. After you run out, you are reduced to running around in circles like an idiot over and over trying to get one of the mob of enemies to move far enough away from his allies to get an attack in.
-The parry key simply doesn't work (my character does nothing when I press it) about half of the time for no obvious reason to me.
-The signs seem pretty much useless. The stun one never seems to do much for me. Even if I hit an enemy when they should be off balance (like after a power attack) they are usually stunned for an even shorter time than if you parried a blow.
-The fire sign does almost nothing or literally nothing to most enemies
-The trap sign is probably the most useful, although it also does very little damage and stuns only a short time.
-The defense sign seems to offer partial protection against one or two blows before disappearing.
-As far as I can tell, the mind control sign does nothing at all.
-The game frequently does not allow any saving during very difficult sections or forces you to rewatch over and over dialog and cutscenes, although you can skip most of these.

Is there something I'm missing that will make this game playable?
- You don't evne know what dragon. Choose another, or better, choose from top
- Too difficult? I played hard on my first try and got killed alot, sometimes even by just 2 noob soldiers. I adapted. I got better. I killed like 20 nekkers at once. I like hard mode now. The only reason keeps me from trying the hardest is that 1 death = real death thingy
- Tutorial again? Just die and adapt
- Bombs are optional. It is sign that are vital. About 10 bombs are already too much for a whole chapter. Beside, you can craft lots of bombs if you just spare time and inventory. weight prob? get a weightless mod.
- Parry key sometimes doesnt work cuz you switch too fast between functions. Try pacing yourself more (make sure you lift you dont press your atk button anymore, then click parry) and when you click make sure u really click, not just touch slightly. You can also solve by making block the right mouse and strong atk another button near moving buttons. (i did that and i enjoy it)
- Signs are not useless. They are vital. To me, at least. Igni is really kinda useless tho (before you upgrade it). Aard stop opponent from atking and sometimes stun them which net you an instant kill (ikill draugnirrs in chap 2 always by aard then instant kill. save lots of time). YOu can also go to the bak and backstab for more dmg while they are stunned. Quen saves my ass more than anything, even my sword. Yrden is good whne you trying to seperate your opponents. Axii turns your oppnents among themself. what can be better. Bomb? Luxury
-Fire sign is mostly for completion unless you upgrade it which it burns people. (learn pyromaniac by hurting yourself by stepping on fire few times and you get inceneration +20%).
-Trap sign is not as usefull as aard cuz i HAVE SNARE. lots of them. I killed like 3-5 wraiths and 5-7 harpies when they appear by placing about 15-17 snare in the room. They just step on it like 3 times and die.. I didnt even lift afinger. Anyway, trap sign is actually just good for separating the bumer your against fo a short time and completion when you don't have traps.
-Defense sign is not your aegis shield. It is simply your guardian angel. Think like that. It helps you agianst surprise atk and certain deaths. TOo useless? then learn to use other things to keep from having to simply put your head in for them to slice more than 2 slices. ROLL !
- Mind control both decrease the number of enemy.. set another enemy against another. and increase the number of ally. You, sir are afool not to notice that significant thing.
- I actualyl have trouble with too many autosaves. I decrease my tedency to quicksave which i dont like. The game autosaves before any boss battle what's more do you want ?

Btw, if your missing something?
Let me name a few
- Crazy graphic that makes your eyes go tired.after a short time playing
- Freeze while loading
- The game kicks yourself out while playing WITHOUT permission, ofc
- Elite enemies have too fucking long health bar. COME ON. THEY KNOWS HOW TO DEFEND. LET THEM TAKE 3-5 hits and die LIKE I DO. LOOK AT THE FUCKING KINGSLAYER!
Both are witcher but he takes like more than twenty hits before he let me rest with cutscene Me? 3-4 hit if im lucky and not get burned BEFORE the battle begins cuz of lateness in autosave.

That said, i am adapting.
Next time i see the kingslayer, he goes down without slashing me ONCE. Cant say i will be able to dodge all his signs tho.

Btw, if you're not good at signs. Learn from the witcher kingslayer. He's fucking pro. I learned how to use defense (quen) and stun (aard) sign effectively from him
